The Rink is Back!!!

Brad's be waiting all year well since we moved into this house to build the rink. He had great visions on how it was going to work. It didn't work out quite like he wanted. He started on the cement pad and took it onto the grass. But i don't think the lawn was frozen enough, so he had to shorten it up. But so far the kid's have had such a great time on it.

The little Boy's have really taken to it. Blaze is already skating with out a chair. Knox can't hardly wait till Brad gets home from work to go! So tonight they went out for FHE.

Brody's Big Birthday

I feel like this is a overwhelming task to keep up with the Blog. Not sure why writing it use to come so easy to me. Not sure if I'm just running low on time, energy or have totally lost my sense of humor, It's sometimes hard to laugh at the boy's destructive way. Like the other day, It was a busy day and Blaze found a bottle of white glue and a paint brush and painted a wall downstairs..... Back in my good humor day's i would have taken a picture and laughed and put it on the blog, But in stead all i could say is "are you kidding me" and cleaned it up. I think maybe it's coming with age, I'm old and set in my way's. Anyway long story short New Years is coming and this is a perfect Goal to set for myself.

Anyway onto the meat and potato's of the month. November, December is always busy. I had 3 craft shows to get ready for and do. I was scheduled for a surgery in April but The begging of Nov. I got a phone call saying it had been bumped up to Dec. 7th. Yikes. So i got my butt in gear and got all the pictures edited and Back, All of Christmas Purchased and arranged, and all my craft stuff put away. It was kinda a blessing in disguise. It's made December so much nicer cause i really have to take it easy and so it's been way easier to say no to things i don't have to do.

So it's been a really fun December (minus the whole cutting into me and not being able to sleep on my tummy). Before i went in, On the 6th it was B's Big 10th Birthday. So we asked him awhile ago if he wanted a party or just wanted to go out to dinner with Brad and I. He really wanted to go out to the water tower. Our Brody is really into good food, He wanted to go there and eat a good Piece of Salmon. Yep that's right he'll do anything for a piece of fish. Blahhh. Anyway It was fun to take Brody out. He got money from everyone this year so we took him shopping after to buy his Birthday presents. he was so excited he had enough for Hex bugs with the track (something he's asked for but I'm the Mom who thinks if it looks dumb I'm not buying it) Well i was wrong it is really fun. Anyway He had a great time!

Our Brody had Grown up so much. Just in the past month or so he's started looking so old. he's lost all his Baby Fat (OK he never had Baby fat). But he's just grown up. He loves hockey I'm pretty sure that's his number one love of course during the winter. He also loves loves Sledding. He is good in school and loves his teacher. His favorite subjects are Math and Gym. He likes to play with his friends and he's so good at Babysitting. We are so glad he's part of our family!

What was the point???

So it's coming up on a year that we have sold our house and moved! I can't believe how fast it's flown by. The little house is still sucking us dry! Before we realized how much money we lost on that house we put in the agreement that we would change the 70 amp electrical to 100amp. Big mistake, next time we move I'm washing my hands of the whole thing. This has turned out to be a huge huge project! $800 or more later, we are getting it done finally.

Grrrr. The reason we sold that house is because it was to small for our family! nobody could sleep together.... everyone had to have there own room.... ect ect. So when i walk in on this scene i have to question why??

We know how 4 empty Beds, and everyone of the boy's sleep together. Brody and Blaze have a few fear issues and Knox just wants to be part of the crowed. And Meanwhile Paris is downstairs with all the lights off door shut and as happy as she can be sleeping in her own, dark room. She does not scare easy and complains when Brody wanders into her room at night cause he's scared in his own room. Hmmm We certainly know how to raise Brave Boys.

Last night was the last craft night until next year. We were doing temple canvas' it ended up blowing up into a huge project! 107 Kit's were signed up for. Yikes. It was a easy one to get together well kind of. I had done the temple pictures and had to add the words on them" if this isn't your castle then you're not my prince". And any of you know me very well you know i can't spell and my grammar is horrible. So i checked double checked and triple checked and had Brad check then Finally I went to order them (It was like 80 8x10 = $140) i made one quick change and Emailed the pictures in. I got them back Tuesday night and put them in kits, and while i was doing that Brad looked and one and said "hey Kade, You know this is spelled wrong"!!!!! I cannot tell you the sinking feeling!!! Grrrrrr. So i had to reorder $140 worth of pictures last minute. Did that and forgot to push off the color auto correct off! So they came back a wonky color that i was not super happy with but it was impossible to redo so...... We went with it! That had to be the most aggravating time ever!! We had about 17 people here, it really was fun .

Anyway it's over and done and i can start fresh next year!

So I'm off this afternoon to Black Friday!! Eek! It's been quite a few years since I've been able to go.... So I'm pretty excited! I guess I'll update when i get Back!!!

Good Goals.....

So my goal is to Blog every Monday with the past week events................ that was 2 weeks ago and look at me sheepishly coming back to the land of Blog. I'm having a hard time getting to the blog because i fell like I've been so busy, and i feel guilty if I'm no the computer and doing anything but editing Pictures since I'm so behind. And since I've been doing other peoples pictures so much I've not been taking enough pictures of my own family! Gasp!! The kids really don't know what happened. I did not take one Halloween picture!!! I'm feeling very sad about it know so maybe I'll dress at least knox and Brody up again, Since Paris was a witch again (i think every year but one, she's been a witch), and Blaze had a awesome dinosaur costume but opted last minute for his Puppy house coat??? Embarrassing much! Oh well.

It was quite a eventful day. Blaze has had Paris explaining the important parts of life to him at night with out us knowing until now. She's been explaining about vampires and how they suck your blood and Werewolves and plenty of other knowledgeable things that we wanted our Paranoid 4 year old to know. So long story short Halloween did not go over super well with Blazer. He refused to go to preschool cause everyone was dressed up, so after fighting for 15 min with him i took him home and made him nap!

Trick or treating went well, It was a wee bit Chilly but the big kids lasted a couple hours. Blazer Really got into it this year. I took them around a block then Brad took them out for a hour or so to all the regular places. Blaze made quite a haul but when he came home he took over door duty and he kept giving away all his candy instead of the stuff we bought. He gave one little girl 4 bags of his chips...... Hmmmmm. Anyway it was a good Halloween.

So November is a really busy month, I guess so was Oct. And Sept. But November's my crunch Month. I've got 3 set's of family picture to edit (More to shoot) 2 craft night 2 craft shows and all my Christmas shopping has to be done by Dec. 7th!!! Yikes I've never had a strict deadline till this year, But I'm going in for a minor operation that will put me out of commission for a few weeks. I know good timing right! Anyway so that's why I've been absent from the blog for so long. Not a good excuse I know but it does make for a busy busy time!

So as soon as Halloween is over (I'm talking Nov. 1st) our Christmas music comes out. Brad Amway's rolls his eye's but i know I'm totally wearing him down.. We've been married almost 11 year our first Christmas we put up the tree early December and the date has slowly crept up. So by the 6th of November I was ready to put up the tree! And Brad agreed without to big of a discussion. I love putting the tree up early but then it has to be down boxing day or a few day's after. So our tree got up! It look wonderful from the outside in but from the inside it's not very pretty yet! I forgot last year i was changing decorations and forgot i had not bought hardly any! oops! so our half dressed tree stands proudly in the window but little do people know from the outside.... It's half naked! Yikkes! One more thing on my to do list!

We've been having a hard time with the Blazer lately. He's gotten to the point of almost not wanting to leave the house. He won't go to Church (without a huge fight) he won't go to class. In fact one Sunday sister Noad came and got me out of Sunday school and said she had lost Blaze. We both split up and went looking. I happened to peek outside and sure enough he was walking home. What the heck! He's taken to not liking preschool either. He try's to run away and go home. He yells, crys. We are pretty sure this is a genetic thing Passed down to him by his FATHER. It really is a Brad related thing. he use to be the same way, I'm told. We are slowly trying to figure him out and get him balanced a bit! Holy Crap, if i knew mothering a child would be so much work, i still would have done it but maybe thought twice about it.

Brody is in the full swing of Hockey. We are in a much better League this year. Last year we were all over the place but this year our furthest is Crownest and the it's raymond Coaldale, Pincher ect. He's loving it still . I'm still on the fence and trying not to give him a guilt trip every time we have to drive take all the kids spend an entire Saturday all on him. But it's hard when he's being a little snot pants not to bring up all the time and money we spend on him! I'm the worst at guilt trips!

Paris is..... Well she's Paris. She's got a problem at school. This Fall we really got into Canning. Brad decided on afternoon to pickle Carrots. (We had them all the time growing up) Anyway the kid's adore them! Paris got in the practice of taking some to school for lunch. She started sharing the with friends. Then it became a thing. Every day she took like half a bottle of pickled carrots. The one afternoon she took the last half of the last bottle. She shared with her friends except one was not there. So she came home from school so upset cause her friend was mad because she didn't have any pickled carrots left to give her.. This is Paris! Love her to death!

Knox is getting well into his 2's. he is very determined to do everything on his own. For example if you peel his Banana.... look out! He freak's out and wont eat it. Speaking of Banana's if we have them in the house they are gone in a day! Knox will Pound back, No Jokes, 5 Banana's in a day easy. He's realized now that if he does not get out of bed, then we leave his door open, which he loves, So he's a dream to put to bed now. HE's totally potty trained minus a accident here and there. he's the most loving cuddly little guy ever.

Wow so that's the update on the Wolseys!! I have not been taking any pictures of our family cause I've been taking so many of other peoples family. I'm a bit overwhelmed in the picture taking department. but now that I'm done with that for a while (maybe) I'll do more of our family.

So that was a super huge update but know I'm up with Blogging and i promised myself i won't get that behind again!!! Next Monday I'll be blogging again rain or shine.... or snow i guess....

Nothing... Just kidding so much is going on in our lives it's hard to find time to blog about it. We had a fantastic Thanksgiving weekend which followed a week with Ali and the kid's (including a tag along friend Aston). The kid's were so excited to see the Dickson kids. The weekend started off with the hurricanes season opener on Friday. The boy's loved it!

Saturday was craft Day. Only a few could make it, Which kinda makes it fun cause there's way less craziness and more visiting. We put together the budget binders. They are super fun and easy and well worth the budgeting work!!

Sunday was spent watching Conference...... It was great, Between sessions we made it out to get our much updated family pictures!! They turned out great!! I've been so busy editing other peoples picture's i have not got to all of ours but we got some goodies!! Here are some of them

That's as far as i've got with the family ones!

Monday Mom , Ali and the kiddies went to Reddeer/Edmonton for a couple day's and Dad came over and stayed with us. We made Mexican Monday and invited Angie and Nate over. Or We finally took the hint and made Mexican for Angie and Nate. It was really good.

Thursday was Brad's Birthday!!! The big #32!! We got to go out since Chandler was there to Babysit. We were going to go to the keg, and a movie but ended up forgetting to send craft stuff into work with Brad and we had to go over to the West side to drop it off..... Which means....We opped for Taco Bell instead of the Keg. I know you all think it's a major Down grade from The Keg..... oh not for my Brad! I think that made his night that we got to go to the Bell! We went and saw "the debt" it was a great Movie. We came home to a full house. The boy's all slept over and Missy and Ryan and the kids made it down. They stayed with us all weekend. (well except missy) We had a great time. I took the girls out Sunday afternoon and did some quick photo's Mostly for Scoutties sake (she was abut 8 months when I did her pictures last, and i was the last to do them) She is so sweet and growing so big.

The kid's get along so well, It was fun to have them here! Sunday we all got up and made it to mom's church then had leftovers and visited till Missy and Ryan left.

Then today we worked and worked and worked (doing crafts) till lunch, Then we went over and ate Turkey again at Scott and Falene's house. Mmmm I'm officially turkeyied out!

And finally My Thanksgiving Thankful List
I'm thankful mostly for my little family, Brad Mostly and the kid's come next. We are so lucky to have them and I'm so lucky to remember how lucky i am!!

I'm also so thankful for My Mom and Dad, They are awesome with the kid's. I can always count of them to take the kiddies for a sleepover or a morning over at Grandma's. It's pretty much a miracle if at least one of the kid's don't end up there every day.

I'm Grateful for Brad's parents. I'm grateful that Falene takes the time to teach Paris Piano, Cause heaven knows it take a special someone to teach her!! (she's very Chatty )

Mostly I'm thankful for Brad, He is amazing. He has no idea how much we need him and we could not survive without him!! He's amazing!!!

My Poor Blog

My poor blog is suffering from my business. We've been busy at this house with Canning, Photo shoots, School, Craft nights, Craft sales, R.S. The list goes on and on. Anyway it's been busy but I'm determined to keep up the blog a bit better.

So like i said we've been canning like crazy, We did peaches this year all by ourselves, Every Jar sealed and it was awesome working with Brad, We got 41 quarts done. We (Brad) also did Pickles which he did out of cucumbers he grew in the garden. He also went over to his mom's and Bottled 42 quarts of Salsa. Yummmy!

I've been crazy busy doing pictures for people, I really do love doing it but I've been really busy doing it along with a craft sale i did a week ago and craft day coming up, along with my R.S. calling I've been crammed.

But in the midst of all our business, I made time for a trip. I've been so excited to go and Brad's such a good sport about letting me go and taking care of the kiddies.

So my big trip was all the way to Kallispell with our quilt group. I feel pretty special to be let into this elite group of quilters. A few of us including Mom decided to head down late afternoon Thursday and catch the train in east glacier. I was telling Alisynn that we were catching the train, She asked why..... I said Because we can.

Anyway we did that And Karen Picked us up in Whitefish. So when Karen invited us to go she said we were going to a cabin, we figured we would be roughing it a bit, not so much. We arrived at beautiful House. The only think wrong with it......................It was full of dead Heads! I would hate to arrive there with all the lights off. This house was a home of a hunter that had been Lot's of places and killed Lot's of animals and stuffed Lot's of there heads. It was interesting but made me even less sold on the whole hunting thing. Not my thing, Also glass eye's and hairy faces staring at me..... not my idea of decor but to each there own eh! We met the owners and they were wonderful people, They were so kind to let us stay.

Karen Was warned by her husband........"don't let the ladies touch any Animals" Karen told him " we don't touch that stuff just fabric" but you can't imagine how hard it was to not touch them.

So the whole reason we came to kallispel is for the quilt show. We got up Friday morning and waited for the rest of the group to come and then we took off to the show, All 10 of us. We found Lot's of inspiration. These were my favorites..................

We had so much fun, It was kinda crazy at a fabric store with 10 other quilting ladies and then to make it extra crazy we were followed everywhere by a huge bus full of quilters. Wow!

We had quite the week last week! And not in a good way. Blaze started Preschool!!! That was a good thing, he loves it and loves being able to walk with the big kids home from school.

On our way home from Preschool on Monday (it was orientation) I forgot to do a full stop at the stop sign. Ooop who knew the police were in town. Not me. Anyway long story short i got pulled over and got a ticket for a traffic violation (it was a $100 less then the ticket for stop sign) I was happy with my $170 ticket considering i was driving without my licence, I could only find the expired registration and Blaze was sitting on the floor in the very back of thee van, well he was till i very calmly told him to hop on the seat and buckle up as fast as he could. But he still was not in a car seat. Anyway.

Knox got potty trained! I'm happy about! And he's also off his bottle, We are no longer consider ourselves lazy parents (ok we still do but not as much).

Brad's car broke down. We know it's kinda on it's last pistons but we are hoping it would last a bit long.... maybe it will.

Long story short, what was a expensive month already, turned out to be doubly expensive. But what do ya do right!

In the mean time we are working double hard to pay everything off. I've had so many people ask me to do pictures, i've got a craft show coming up that i'm hoping to make a bit at, and i'm making 80 cupcakes for a wards new beginnings so, we are slowly making up the money that we are spending on tickets and car stuff. Blahhh!

Back To School!!!! Yippie!

So it's back to school today!! I'm so excited i hardly slept last night. Just kidding I slept but I'm still so excited!

We were running a big of a gong show last night so we ended up getting to bed a bit later, But that did not inhibit the kids ability to set the alarm for 6:45. Yikes they were up before me! Brody was so nervous he could not even eat breakfast. So they were ready by the door by 7:20.

Knox wanted a book bag like the big kids so he borrowed Paris old book bag. Blaze actually does not go back to school till next week i think but he put on his back pack for looks.

Brody did awesome! He walked right into his class and sat by Ethan and was fine, Paris, Like last year, took a few minutes to get comfortable. It did help that she had the same teacher as last year.

A side note, We"ve been having a bit of a power struggle with Brody and his hair. He does not want anyone to cut it. It sticks to his head and it's been driving his father Crazy. So finally I had it with the nasty hair. I sat down with him and asked him what was up with the hair. I said what are you wanting it to look like?? finally with little tears in his eyes (he's our sensitive boy) He said " Mom i just want it to look like (i can't remember the name) from his '86 interview with Don Cherry!" AHHHHHH he wants hockey hair!

So funny, so we practiced and got it just the way he wanted it, (i said no Mullets) We put a few Highlights in and there you go, Brody's version of '86 hockey hair. Don't ask me why he watches old hockey interviews ( i would say he got that from his cousin). Anyway here is his hair now!!

Week of work

Ok not really a week of work, But Brad got his big summer vacation this past week, he took 2 days off! I know it sucks but he got Thursday and Friday which if followed by a Saturday so it was like he got 3 days off!

Anyway we used those three day's wisely.

Thursday he got the shelves in my craft room built, then he spent the rest of the day installing the new DVD player in the van. (I've got to say we've lived 7 months without one, But I'm sure glad to have one back!) Meanwhile i spent the day working on the little boy's bathroom.

This is the before pictures (i know they are bad but i was to lazy to change lens to get a whole shot but you get the idea)

I Painted, Fixed there shower curtain, painted the stool. Soon after that i was off taking pictures so i didn't get it finished. So today was the day to finish this project!

I used old wood from another Pallet to make the towel bar. So i was pretty proud of myself, I got all the hooks attached and the whole thing attached to the wall by my self. Anyway This was a great project.

Brad's so awesome, He puts up with my crafty mess all the time, he let's me horde weird things (like Pallets). Our Neighbours were getting rid of all there pallets so Brad being the awesome person he is went over and hauled them across the gravel to our house for my crafty project. He was totally embarrassed but he new it would make me happy!!

We used some of the pallets for this project. For FREEEEEEEE

Anyway Back to the point of this post. Under Mom's stairs she has a toy box and stuff and she wanted to figure something to do cute with it. So Between Her and Lara they found an idea out in the Blog world (not sure were it is) on how to make a cute door for the play area! So Mom was working on how she was going to accomplish this and Brad stepped in and said just let me do it. So Mom happily agreed. So today was the day we were going to work on it together, but we had a change of Plans and the kids had to be picked up today so i did that while Brad made Mom's door.

I've got to say i was a bit nervous cause i kinda like things painted and done a certain way, Since mom Let us take over, i wanted to do somthing kinda rustic, and Brad's not the same way as me. Anyway I was totally excited when i came home and saw it! It is awesome! So we loaded it up and took it to mom's and put it up for her.

It turned out so cute, and Mom's totally excited to paint and decorate the inside now!!

Holy Crap..........

I've gone on a blog Highetis.... Well not on purpose, But I've been crazy busy his summer with all sort of fun stuff. So here is a quick catch up.....

The end of July consisted of .............. first if went and did a girls wedding photos, It was so much work and I'm still working on editing but they are turning out great and if you want to see some you can look HERE

After that Mom, Missy and myself took off to Educations Day's in Idaho. We had so much fun there and back. We laughed tonnes and went and learned how to be extra better people and more patient with the kids (that lasted 5 min), But the biggest thing I've learned is to quit multitask (as much as i could). I'm going to take a more relaxed pace at life and de-clutter my life literally and metaphorically. So far I've been way less stressed about life, we'll see how long i can keep it up.

Meanwhile i got called to be the RS secretary. I think it will be a great job to do. And also while i was gone It was Paris Birthday. Brad did a great job, he invited the grandparents over and made a money cake, and had a hot dog roast. Paris had a super time and got Lot's of neat gifts. I was sad to miss it.
We got home Sat. from Idaho and Sunday was Paris Baptism. Brad outdid him self and with Lara's help he got everything ready for Sunday so i just had to come home and ice the cupcakes. It was awesome!
Paris had a very special day and Brody was quite emotional after Paris confirmation. It was good to see him love his sister so much, and be so happy for her.

Then came Paris Friends Birthday Party. I've got to say I'm not big on kids birthday party's but i promised Paris we would do one. I only let her invite 5 friends And her two cousins that were her. Looking back now we missed a couple girls that i didn't even think about till now but I guess we'll invite them next year. Anyway Paris wanted a Baking party, so in the spirit of keeping it simple i made up little simple simple aprons and Bakers hats (they really only took me a morning to do up and maybe a hour in the afternoon to finish up. I got a jar of sprinkles that they got to take home with the apron and hat. We dipped cake ball cupcakes and colored boxes for them to take home and cupcakes and we were done. Paris had a great time and loved it all so it was well worth the work.

Right after Paris party we took off camping for the weekend. We went back out to enchant and got the last spot and had a great time. Blaze found a friend at the park while we were there and he came running back to our campsite to ask if he could go to his new Friends "website" We were both like what! Oh you mean Campsite.

his was Knox being mad, Because he was not able to go in the boat with the kids! Grrrr.

Finally he got a turn in the boat.

After we got back from Camping i took off to a Photography course up in Calgary with my friend Coralee. It was done by Blue Lily. They were awesome awesome and i learned tonnes.

Random pictures i Know but they were the only thing around to take pictures to practice what we learned. They were awsome!
After that we took advantage of a kid free day and did a bit of shopping. I got a few cute top's that i was excited about.

So Thursday Blaze had his first "Friends" birthday party. He loved it, We planned most things to be outside in water, it was not the nicest day but we still played outside and as soon as the parents started picking up kids there was a huge downpour. We were so glad it happened after. Blaze had so much fun.

So Friday Brad add I booked a babysitter and out we went for My birthday, We ate a excellent meal at the Keg, and went out to the show. And Brad Totally surprised me for my birthday with a brand new Lens for my camera!! What I'm pretty sure that's the first time he was able to surprise me for a long time. I'm so excited about it!

I was so happy when all the birthday celebrations were over. One bad thing about being so bored in Oct/Nov. We've got so many Summer birthdays. hehe.

I also neglected to mention that we had Grandma over for her birthday party as well in august.

So I think that's totally caught up, Oh but i did forget to mention my Computer totally Crashed!!! I was about to put all the wedding pictures on disks and all of the sudden it totally died. I was completely freaking out (i had not backed anything up) I also had just taken pics of a family of 10 and had not backed those up either. Needless to say i was a complete wreak by the time the computer got back. But He was able to save everything!!!

Long story short. It's been a busy busy summer and I'm glad to see it coming to a end!! School Bells are ringing in my head already!!! Yippie!!

I adore this picture of him. It shows is attitude at this point in his life. If things are going his way he's as happy as can be. But watch out the minute you say no or you leave the house without taking him with you, He will throw himself into the hugest fit you've ever seen.

I'm assuming (hoping) that he's getting running start into the terrible 2's.

A Camping we will go!

So I'm not a big camper. I never have been a big camper. It just does not sound fun to me at all. But Brad gets no Holiday's during the summer so we have to plan short little trips. So we decided to try camping this year. So in preparation we went and bought a tent. we got a 10 men tent, in the hopes if would fit us all along with our stuff. It worked wonderfully.

Anyway, we got there Friday afternoon and the wind was blowing so bad. We started setting up the tent, I was about to throw in the towel, and if Brad would have hesitated for one min. We would have been on our way home just as fast as we had gotten there. But Brad said it would be fine, the wind would die down. Sure enough it did a couple hours after we got the tent all set up.

OK in my defence this was the first picture taken when we woke up Saturday morning. Yikes!!!

Paris was tell a long story i believe in this picture. It was a super intense one i guess.

I'm pretty sure this was Blazers Best part of the camping trip.... When Tatum taught him how to string cheese, We just assumed he liked to eat it with out stringing it. Who new we had just never taught him the proper way to string it.

Knox loved the little beach and lake, He pretty much kept his elephant around his waist the entire day.

Blaze got a little blow up raft from the $ store, he loved it he put it barley in the water and hopped on it and pushed his way through the sand. I'm not sure he knew how to do it but he made it work the way he wanted it to.

This was the only picture taken of me (besides the really bad morning shot, and a very inappropriate one Brad took while I was bending over) Anyway but that's proof that i was there and camping.

Cupcakes.

I've got cupcakes coming out my ears. Paris had a great idea a couple weeks ago. He wanted to do a cupcake sale. We've really been into making cupcakes the last month or so. Anyway she decide that would be fun. So when Her cousin Tatum came we decided that was the perfect opportunity. So we made up 2 dozen cupcakes, one dozen Pink Lemonade cupcakes and one dozen Score cupcakes. I had a eye appt. so Grandma Sharon helped the kid's get set up at the post office. I thought i would have Lot's of time to make it home and snap a picture of the girls hard at work.

I missed the whole thing they had sold every last cupcake in a hour and a half! They were so excited and ready to do it again the next day. I said No! But one week later they asked again and i said OK! So this time i stuck around to help them. They had so much fun seeing everyone up town and selling there cupcakes.

This week we made Pink Lemonade again, and then we mixed it up with a Oreo Cupcake and a chocolate strawberry cupcake. They sold all there cupcake in 1hour and 15 mins.

So Paris decided this was going to be her summer Job. I agreed as long as Brody gets to help her (now that Tatums gone) she gives me 5 dollers to replace my butter and icing sugar, and that she put 3/4 of her earning away into savings. She begrudgingly agreed. So as it stands now every Wednesday Paris and Brody will be out Peddling there cupcakes!!

We had a great Canada Day.

It was filled with Fun and Family.

We started off the day by taking the kids to the Parade. Tatum and Keegan are down for a few day's. So we all enjoyed it. Blaze had a blast this year. He waved and said Hi then entire time to anyone who would wave back. Grandma Wolsey drove passed and gave the kids Canada hats before the parade. So during the parade Blaze waved the entire time (minus once when he was itching his arm) but other then that pretty much the whole time. If someone went past him and didn't wave back at him or notice him he would yell HI with a grumpy look on his face. So funny.

After the Parade we had a bar-B-Que. Dad was already over here, Mom came back and Grandma and Grandpa Hough. We ate, the kids went swimming and we played about 6 games of rook!

It was a super fun day, But I'm completely tired and ready for bed at 8'oclock.

yesterday the kid's had a equally exciting day. Paris had asked a couple day's ago to have a lemonade/cupcake stand. So i agreed and whipped up some cupcakes. Tatum and her made signs and away they went. I had a Dr. Apt in lethbridge so Mom went and helped them get all set up and ready to go. So within a hour and a half they were all sold out of cupcakes! They had so much fun. I made Paris put 3/4 of the money away for new school clothes in august but other then that she was so excited to have a bit of change in her pocket.

The same day Brody and Keegan went and spent the good majority of the day down at the fish pond fishing. So between Brody, Keegan, Jackson and Levi, someone caught a fish that died before they got the hook out. Well Blaze,i guess spent alot of time chasing the girls around with this fish, kissing it and i hear even bit it a little. Gross, what a weirdo! Anyway the kid's had the time of there lives yesterday.

Monday was the first day of summer vacation. So far so good. Actually it was a fun day. The kid's were so good and pretty much played outside all day.

Paris Played with her friend Madison all day and now they are having a sleepover. Brody Played with Jackson, They went boating...... at the fishpond. Brody had so much fun.

Jackson even took Paris out in the boat, It was a 2 second trip, Paris requested to go back to the shore! Oh Brother!

Knox had fun watching and throwing Brody's Shoes into the fishpond.

Summer Holiday's are upon us!! I usually have Mixed Emotions about Summer holidays, but his year I'm genuinely happy for them. We've got Lot's planned (not big stuff) But small stuff. In fact this year we are going to try our hand at camping!!! Heaven help us! We'll see if we survive, We are not campers at all. Brad use to camp when he was younger but i never did and we have not since we got married. Anyway so we'll see how that goes.

We got Lot's of birthdays this summer, Knox turns the big 2 on the 14th of July Paris Turns the big 8 On the 29th and I'm Yikes 30 in august and Blazer Followes mine and he'll be the big 4~ It's a big summer for us!.

But back to finishing off the school year, The end of the year at school consists of the Games day (track and Field) except they play weird things like shoot the action figure over with a water gun?? Hmmm We'll we went up armed with the camera to get some sweet shot's of the things the kids were doing but alas I forgot the memory card. Oops

But i came fully prepared the day of the triathlon. Paris had not been feeling well the day before so she decided she better go in a group, She didn't think she could handle the whole thing on a weak stomach. But of course she felt fine the day of and was disappointed she could not do the true triathlon. Anyway her team did great, She got to be the runner cause she's so super fast. She keeps a steady pace and seams to never get tired! She's awesome! Brody opted out, He was on his own team to do the true but he ended up with strep throat. A legitimate reason to back out. Which ended up good for me cause Blaze went and played with Travis, His friend that lives by grandmas, And Knox stayed home with Brody, So i was kid free and able to watch Paris in peace.

It ended up being a really warm day and i got a sunburn. First of the season! Hopefully the last burn but I'm begging for more sun!

Anyway summer here we come!

Happy Father's Day!

Once a year i rally the troops, Plan out a breakfast, Figure out gift's and get the kid's all pumped up about There Dad. As soon as the kids get excited they start planning all the cool things they are going to make for Dad. This year was no exception. They have cards and drawings and all sorts of really cool stuff.

So we got up bright and early and left Brad sleeping, The kid's went out and painted a sweet fathers day sign (that Brody had been planning for a whole week), While i started on Breakfast. The kid's took breakfast into himwhile singing I'm so glad when Daddy comes home. After Breakfast came the Presents. Brody painted him a change jar, Made him a coupon book as well as a word puzzle, and finally a little biography of Brad's life. Paris Made a sweet mail holder, She was excited about the fact that it was done with Colored Duct Tape. Hmmmmm. She wrote a lovely long letter (as per Usual). Finally the little boy's gave dad, candy, a new BBQ scrapper, and New BBQ spatula as well as a new gardening tool. And finally we all have him a new Basketball Hoop. He's been bugging me for the last few months to put it in the budget, Little did he know i had worked it in, but when i had the money to go get it, they were all out, so today he got the rain check and he'll be able to pick it up in a week.

Brad is a excelent Daddy and Husband, We are so lucky to have him!! In his book from Brody it asked what you find your dad doing the most.............

Brody's answer was "cleaning" See he really is the best!

So tonight G-ma and G-pa Hough are coming for dinner, as well as Mom and Dad. Actually Dad's already here, asleep downstairs, while mom's at church. So Speaking of my DAD on this wonderful fathers day, These are the top #3 things i love about my Dad

#1. His Sense of Humor, I would like to say that's were i got my humor from, But i cannot find my humor as often as Dad finds his.

#2. His Laugh. I adore Dad's laugh, It makes me laugh, I'm not sure who would be able to hear Dad laugh at Tim the tool man or Jim (according to jim) and not at least smirk at Dad's totally out of control laugh.

#3. I love when Dad raises his had to say something, and Tell's us how proud he is of us and our Kids.

I love my Dad and i feel so blessed to be living so close to them and to have all this time for him and mom to make memories with my kids. We are so Blessed.

Knox has taken it apon himself to help Grandpa, We usually yell at the bigkid's to help Grandpa in the house but Knox get's them out of the way so he can help. Not much of a help since Grandpa laughs the whole time which makes it 10 times harder to help him walk in. But Knox is so proud to help Grandpa get around.

Then Grandpa get's down into bed and Knox pretty much alway's joins him for a little while atleast.

I got the cupcakes made and almost all the icing befor the boy's heard the mixer. So close.

Our Front Walk.

So in the front of our house there is a skinny sidewalk to the steps then the steps into the house or steps down to the other side of the house, But that side walk just runs into the house. So it's kinda a weird little place, But it was perfect for a seating place, A perfect place to sit while watching foxx poop, (OK we don't watch him poop, but we have to watch him or he'll run away. Anyway that delved more in to the Dog's potty time more then i wanted to, But anyway.....

So this is what i did!

I bought a wood rug at Jysk on sale for 12.95. I got it home and got right to work on it. I really wanted a chevron pattern on it. So i got out 2 of my many Gallon's of Paint that i have laying around the house, and got to work. I Painted the whole thing with 4 coats of white paint. I even painted the brown weave trim, it soaked up the first 2 coats but the second two covered well. Then i whipped out my Handy Dandy Painters tape. I adore Painters tape, Not sure why but that green goodness gets me excited every time i see it! Anyway i taped off my best chevron pattern, Let me tell you, It sucked!!

But i went with it, and it actually turned out way better then i imagined it would. I think the easier thing would be is to print of a vinyl stencil but of course i have like 12 inches of vinyl left so i had to just eyeball it.

So i got out my second color and painted between the special green tape. And TaDa!! It worked

So the chairs i had from the other house, they once were blue then a green and Brown Damask print, then i recovered them in the red. And i already had the fabric so it cost me nothing!

The pillow's made from vintage Pillow cases that i scored at a garage sale for $0.25 each. i just cut and sewed them to fit these little pillow form es that Mom had given me, So my total spent for the pillow's was $0.50

The Flower tin bath thing, Again was scored at a garage sale! (there is a trend, I adore garage sales. You can find the best treasures to re purpose). Anyway i kinda paid more then i wanted to for it but i could not pass it up, It was a big $15. Then i purchased the dirt for $6, and flowers for $12 for a grand total of $33. Yikes, That i guess was my biggest expence. So once i had everything planted and growing good, i used my last 12 inches of Vinyl and my Handy Dandy Silhouette Machine and got to work. I printed off this stencil from vinyl with The Wolsey's and the flowers. I painted it all up and let it dry then i took sand paper to it, to give it a worn look.

And there you have it!! My grand total cost was $46.45!! Pretty good and I love it! It will get plenty of use this summer (If the rain stops anytime soon).

4th Annual Quilt Retreat!

Ahh it's that time of year once again. I love going to the quilt retreats! (really just a sleepover party) with my quilt lady friends.

This year we learned how to do Chenille on quilts but i dont'thing i got one picture of the finished product. It was a great time with great food and great lady's!! I love that i am by far the youngest quilt girl, But They still out partied me, I finally had to go to bed a good hour before the rest of them. 1Óclock is my limit, i guess!

These are for you Grandpa!!! I was so surprised when Grandpa called this morning to ask about the garden, We i was not surprised at that part i was surprised when he ask me how big the potato plant's were...... i really suck at guesstimating measurements, And i was elbow deep in Cupcake batter so i could not go out and measure. So Grandpa suggested I take a picture and put it on the computer so he could see, and tell us if the potato's are ready to be hill ed. Wow, I would not have thought of that!! Grandpa is technologically advanced after all, What a smart guy!! Anyway Grandpa, Here are the potato's pictures as well as the peas and bean pictures (just cause they look so good)

It was finally nice out yesterday. The sun was shining, And it heated up quite nicely! We've been waiting for the one warm day for a few weeks now! Anyway the kid's got out there squirt guns. Well there was only 2 and Poor Knox wanted to play, So Brad grabbed out the squirt bottle. Hehe, He loved it. He got crazy eye's when he started to squirt people. As you can tell by the pictures, He especially thought it was hilarious to get Brad wet.

So today was the day! We did a Walk for cure juvenile onset diabetes. This hits close to home for us. My cousin Kari jo was Diagnosed at a very young age, and as of the last few years, two of my cousin Children have be diagnosed, Miles and Abrialle.

Anyway a month or so ago Missy decided to sign her and Ryan up for the walk for the cure, So we followed suit and signed up. It was all fun and games till The time came that i actually had to get out there and walk. Oh well we did it! Our group was named Abby Milers after the two kiddies who are living with Diabetes.

So i have not done a run like this but i guess it's a fun thing to wear matching things as a team. We got there and their was a entire team in green capes and a little guy had a green Mohawk, Anyway Missy showed up and alas pulled out these Beauty's......

Yikes! Well we all put them on and I've got to say it was pretty easy to pick each of our team members out in the crowed!

And here is our whole team! We had a goal to raise $500 and we exceeded that by a couple hundred!

So the total raised by this particular walk was of $16000. Pretty good!

I'm glad the kids, Brad and I got to participate, It was a good moment to get out of ourself and our lives and do something good for a good cause! So thanks for Inviting us along Miss!!

Walk/Run Club

This is my kid's second year in the Walk/Run Club. They loved it! Last year they talked Grandma Sharon into walk/running with them. This year she had to gracefully bow out due to her Knee operation. So the kid's try ed to talk me into it, But with the two little boy's in tow, Not a chance. So they persevered on there own.

Today was the finally mini Marathon. They did a excellent job. Brody stayed at the front of the pack and Paris about the middle. after there run they got Popsicle and had everyone sign there shirts.

It was a fun time for all.

I forgot to change the setting on my camera when Paris first ran by so i snapped a picture of some random kid's back and was going to pretend one was Paris, So shhhhhh Don't tell her, See if she realizes.

Oh The Jealousy

So the last week I've been feeling pretty down. The weather was one thing, A week straight of rain, Being trapped inside with the little boy's all day! Enough to make anyone go a little (alot) CooKo (OK i really typed that word 3 times and it still does not look right, Oh well I'm sure you know what i Mean). Anyway Along with the rain and being trapped inside for the week, I got sick. Knox started this sickness passed it to Brad, Who passed it to Paris who Passed it to me. And me, feeling as grumpy as i was decided i got it the worst, Not only was i throwing up and so tired but i had to take care of the little boy's all day inside!!!! Oh talk about a pitty party. Anyways the root of my grumpiness stems from one thing...... Jealousy.

Oh it's a evil thing. I adore my sister's! But i was down right jealous of one for the past two weeks. She called me up and told me she got to meet Amy Butler! For those of you that don't know I've got a major Fabric Crush on her! She by far is one of my favorites. Anyway. So within this conversation about Amy Butler and how awesome she is, I brought up the topic of Photography that we both enjoy. I Told Ali about Kristen Duke and how she has awesome stuff, And that she was doing a class in Ogden, A short drive from Ali. So Ali, who lives in the land of endless creative possibility's, got to go to the class. And after when i talked to Ali about it, She said she got to meet The Idea Room Lady! I was like Shut the front door, If you notice on the right side of the screen, there is the idea room on my links! I Secretly Blog envy her! Anyway After Jokingly telling Alisynn that she was litterly living my dream life (Maybe not so much joking). I realized that the week was not a total loss. Instead of meeting My Fabric crush, My Photography Crush as well as a Major Blog crush I got to do this....................

Have the little boy's and Brody help me Plant flowers in my new/Old Tin bath thing, And them watch them eat cheesies while trying there very hardest to leave the newly planted flowers alone.

I got to take Brody and Paris Garage saling, were we picked up a sweet set of Junior clubs for Brody, as well as a Dog Picture frame for Paris (anyone who's surprised stand on your head). I got to purchase the Worlds Most ugliest chair, I'm pretty sure it was made in the 70's then recovered in the 80's and will now be brought into this century my Me!

As you can tell in the next pictures, both little boy's loved it and fought over it, Till Brad finally took it away and hid it.

And finally i got to watch this handsome guy mow the lawn in turbo speed before the rain started once again!!

All in all it was a excellent weekend, I didn't meet any of my celebrity but i did get to hang out with some pretty awesome folk!

(but By George, if Ali Calls with anymore fun stuff that she gets to do, I'm packing it in, and moving, So you've been warned Big Guy!)

Today i redid my Garage sale find! I love this desk! I have not been feeling good since Saturday, but finally today i thought i felt good enough to get started on it. Of course once i started i had to finish it. And finally i finished it, and felt like poo. Blahh but after my nap and a few sinus/cold pill's, I was back on top of my game.

Saturday was extra special day!!! Ok really i just got so excited, Mom and I went garage sale ing. I use to be so embarrassed to go garage sal-ing when i was younger! Buying peoples old used stuff... Blahhh! But then i turned less snotty and now i love it! You can find the best treasures to redo and re purpose! For example these gem's!! I can't wait till tomorrow when i can start sanding and painting!. The old wash basin is going to be turned into a planter to sit between those out door chairs which I'm going to recover!

On to the next special Saturday thing. We had our first Weinny roast last night with the Wolsey's. It was actually Angie and Nate's idea. But it was a excellent one. So we invited the Grandma and Grandpa Wolsey over and Jeff and Todd. And had a great time. It was so nice to outside without snow!! It was a bit windy but we live in Southern Alberta, Could we expect any less. Anyway, we try ed out the new HUGE Mallow's from walmart! Bahhaah that was just plain funny. they are huge but Blazer was insisting on powering though his.

And this next stuff has nothing to do with Saturday except that it got finished on Saturday. I love quilting and i have made Lot's of quilt tops, but that's were it stops, They get folded up and put away. So a couple months ago i just decided to bite the bullet and get them done. So i sent them all to Grandma's who sends them out to Merna Laycock. Well i sent out 5 to be done. With strict instructions to not do them to fast. Well they got done pretty fast but i am excited. So they come home and need to be bound, Which again I'm not a finisher which drives Grandma and Mom crazy so Grandma made the binding and sews it on and then Mom Hand stitches it. I know I'm such a baby. Anyway these are the finished Products!!!!

The House.

We are slowly getting it together and making it our own~! we've done a lot of painting and odds and end stuff. This weekend we are going to tackle the basement (just painting). Anyway this past week i was able to finish Knox's room. It turned out cute (i think). and for my later Gee Whiz file I'm adding the cost.

We Painted his room. I got a mistint color from Walmart which was $10 (ended up being the cutest color) The orange was a pint we had from Brody's room (that we actually didn't even use for his room).

The canvas's were on sale at Michael's so we got all 4 for $10. Brad drew out the fish and i painted them.

the fabric i already had from forever ago. So for the fabric toy baskets' i just had to purchase the Cafe rod.

The dresser was a leftover from the move. we sanded and painted it with leftover paint ( from when i was trying to choose a color for the house). I bought the new

His Bed is Blazes old one that i built for him. I sanded and Painted it (again with leftover paint from picking the house color)

I Bought the fabric for his quilt at the fabric addict back in the clearance section for 5.98M And i think i got 3M of it and i purchased the orange in the same place for the same money.

So the grand total for the room was ......................Drum roll.............................

$55! Wow that was money well spent! We still have to buy new plug covers (since the boy's thought it was fun to step on them and break them. so i guess Probley a grand total of $60.

This was another quick project i did. These were the kid's pictures i took for mothers day. I wanted them to be canvas but i did'nt want to put out all the money when i'll be taking new pictures of them in 6 months. so i did homemade canvases. All i did was get the pictures developed, got the premade canvas' at micheals. Modpodge the canvas, stuck the picture down then modpodged on top. Super easy!! And i think they turned out pretty good. I think i'm going to repaint the sides to black but for my first try, i think they turned out pretty good. (not to toot my own horn) Ok just kidding I am! The grand total for this project was ................. $24. Now that's a Smokin'Deal!

Garden Time!

Well it' Garden time a gain at the Wolsey's. With a brand new garden spot, We had to call in the expert............ Grandpa. So he mapped it out for us. Then he told us when he would be down to plant it.

I tryed to help, But Grandpa scoffed when i said "I'll do it Grandpa" He replied with a "No Kimmy, You have to know what your doing". We'll i was told. So i just sat and took pictures, While my 80 something Grandpa Planted our whole garden.

I think we pooed him out cause by the end he sat and let Brad and I plant the Potato's, Not with out a few pointers on how to do it properly. Good think we have Grandpa!

It's Mothers day again. All i ask for is............... The kid's, is to let me take pictures of them with no complaining. I don't know why but I can take anyone family pictures just find, But as soon as i start thinking about ours i start to get bead's of sweat that turn into Monster Sweat, and then Pretty soon I'm sweating like a Trucker (no offence to any truckers). All this before i even start snapping. But anyway I get one hour to snap as many as i want and they have to sit and smile and be nice the whole time. And from Brad i ask for one hour to help me with the kid's with out getting mad about it taking to long.

This worked wonderfully last year, So i thought i would try it again this year. But this year i snuck a couple out early to do there individual shot's. And tomorrow is the big group shot. I make it seem like such a big deal, which, to my family, it is. I'm not sure why they have such a problem looking normal all at the same time, But it seems to be a huge challenge! But here is a preview of Paris and Blazers Pictures.

Underoo's

I don't know what it is but every laundry day, Both Boy's end up with Underoo's on there head. And every week i laugh, Cause i think it's so funny. Somethings never get old, And i guess this is one of them. I think it's funny that they are super hero's with there (they are clean but still stained) skidmard undies.

On to not so funny things. i finished the table living room table. It's funny how you spend so much time trying to make something look really old eh. I got this table thing from Mom, Who got it from a Garage sale along time ago, She added the leg's, and painted it red. Then a few years later she painted it a cream color to match her living room, then i needed one for my Bedroom so Mom so nicely gave this one up, but i quickly decided it needed a home in the living room.

So this is what it started out (when i got it from mom). Cute but i had to paint it to match my house.

So i sanded it and wiped it down. Then i took some Turquoise paint and Painted where i wanted it to show. So mostly corners and edges.

Then i Painted the main color (which i love) It turned out to be my perfect color. Once i had 3 coats on i let it dry really good then i took the sander to it. I sanded and distressed it enough so the red and Turquoise pokes through.

I left the drawers out and had Brad cut some boards to fit for shelves, then i painted the inside of were the drawers use to be.

I got two cute door knob's, and used my HandyDandy Silhouette machine to cut me the Pussy Willow design. And i folded up all my quilts and put the in the shelves!

I love love love they way it turned out!! So next I've got to get fabric to cover the brown chairs.

This had been a crazy week. Brad went on a golf trip to Arizona this week. It happened on the week that the kid's had off of school! Not by his choice, But he's far to accommodating, But we won't get into that. But next year (if i can recoup in time) it will be when it's convenient for him (well actually me). Anyway, It's been a challenging week. I know I know they are my kids, I should be able to handle them, which i can but it's so hard doing everything on your own, And I don't cope well at all. The little boy's are totally out of control, and by 5 o clock I'm done. But not this week.

So thanks heavens for My Mom. She's always amazing when i need help. Tuesday she came and hired the kid's to help her burn some old paper work in the Bomb fire. And of course they went exploring after, and they were all gone for the morning.

Wednesday she came over and invited them to a Chocolate party! The kid's rushed to get all there chores done, then away they went. This is what i walked in on.....

Knox was the hit of the party. Once he got dippin' there was no stopping him. Mostly he dipped then licked it of then re dipped. I thought Dad was going to fall off his seat, he was laughing so hard.

And today Mom came and picked up Knox (she heard him crying when i was on the phone with her) for a play date, then she came with me and took the kid's to the movies. The trick was to keep the little boy's awake so they would go to sleep good tonight (Knox has been having a really hard time going to sleep). Anyway, It worked pretty good, the Boy's are now sleeping.

I don't know what i would have done this weekend without my Mom, She's amazing. She Know's when i'm on the edge, And she will step right in. I love that she spends so much time with the kids. Once a week Brody usually pops over after school to play a round of Yatzee, And Paris loves to "babysit" Grandpa (she just gets to watch cartoons). If i let him Blaze would live over there. In fact the other day we were walking home from uptown and Blaze Say's " i wish Grandma only lived at my house". Anyway I think about week's like this and I'm so glad to have my Mommy around. She really is the best.

Happy Easter. The kid's were surprised to wake up to the easter bunnies treats. Usually the easter Bunny Visits while the kid's are at church, to save the poor teachers from kid's bouncing off the walls. But this year we were eating dinner at Wolsey's right after church. So he made a early visit.

Fish Pond

I took the boy's to the fish pond this morning to throw rock's into the water. ( I know, It takes so little to amuse them).

We stopped and picked up Cousin Carson to go with us. It was freezing cold and we only lasted about 20 min but it was a hoot.

These boy's are killing me! I do love them but I think I will appreciate them more now that it's spring (cross my fingers that it stays) and they can be outside all day.

But today they chose to be inside with me. I'm trying to Paint Blazers room. I'm trying my very hardest to do a good job. Brad Does not like me to paint without him but he knows if he Say's anything about me not doing it, or doing a crappy job, that he would come home to me, doing the entire thing by myself just to show him i could. But he's been so busy and Blazer is wanting his room painted so bad, Since the big kids got there's done. So I decided i would tape and do it on my own. EEK. Brad Does not let anyone cut a room but himself, He's super super Anal (sorry Mom, I know you hate that word) But I don't know how else to explain how crazy he is about how the room is cut. So i just did yesterday with out him knowing.

So Blaze walked in when it was taped and i had the first coat of paint around the top, He was so excited, He said "Mommy, You decorating my room with tape"? In a very excited voice. I said "No Blazer, That just helps Mom color in the lines, (which it didn't). I'm taking it down after" then Blazer replied with a " No way mom i like it``.

Anyway yikes is all i can say, but really it`s not horrible. Brad walked into the room and did a very controlled smile and then walked back out. This morning he made a comment like, Hey Let`s put Blaze to bed in our Bed and we`ll paint together, Bahhahaha He was trying to make it sound like a really fun thing to do together so i would wait for him. Well it didn't work. I`m pretty much done.

It does not look so bad if you don`t look really close. But i do think i`ll wait and let Brad Cut Knox`s room. Just so he feel`s unreplacable.

Anyway that was a huge preface to these pictures. Knox thinks he`s a big huge help!! I was on the other side of the room and turned around in mid lick. Yep, He just had to taste the paint, Like everything else in his life he`s got to have a taste. Anyway, Don`t worry It was only a tiny bit on the tip of his tongue and i washed it off fast.

Budget Smudget.

So I've decided getting back on a budget is, what i believe, would be like getting off crack. I'm going threw Panic attacks, Second guessing my numbers, i honestly had the shakes last night. But it's time. We've moved and have a goal to have our student loans, Credit card that we foolishly used to side and roof the last house (thinking of course when we sell it we'll take some of the profits and pay it off) I guess that would have work had we not lost on the house. Anyway live and learn i guess. Anyway to get all that payed off in 2 years! I'm so excited about it but to do it we've got to be on a super strict budget.

So there is a reason I'm delving into a budget discussion, I think best when things are "super cute" So i made us a super cute and organized Budget binder. When we live on a budget we fully live on cash. We don't use our debit cards or credit cards Period. So here is the "budget binder" i made.
I used my Christmas Present which was a handy Dandy Silhouette Machine. I love it.

So i used a Mini Binder you know the kind, I think it's a good sized it will fit in my purse if i have to have it but it fit's anywhere. So i Made this sweet Front Page, Yes it say's "holy Budget batman" That's how organized it is! Well for me anyway.

So Brad gets payed weekly so we split our budget into weekly amounts. So each category has a front pocket like this one. It's to hold the week's receipts and there is a back pocket so we can move the week's recipes to months recipes. They all have what the weekly budget for that category is so we know exactly how much to get out of the bank once we deposit the check.

So you flip that page over and you get some lined paper, That's were we write down what we spent and were, So we are completely accountable for every penny that is spent.

Then we have our clear pockets that is filled with the money for the week, The next clear page is the overflow (which I'm pretty sure will stay pretty empty) but it's for the money that is left over from that week that we can save for extra things.

This was just the next category. Just showing how cute it is. But the whole book is filled with our different categories Well i think 6 category's.
And then finally at the end is a calender that we fill in with what day's and the amounts of the bill's that are automatically debited from our account.

So you may wonder why i care to put this on the blog?? Well really i just think it's so cute! I love it! And if you write down a goal your are way more likely to go through with it!

So Mom wanted to organized her recipes, They had become quite a mess and she wanted to weed out the ones she didn't use, and organized them into categorized to make it a bit easier to find what she wanted. So she went to the dollar store and got some floppy photo albums for a dollar. They were kinda ugly on the outside but she went ahead and got all her recipes out and organized the all into 5 different categorises. Then she brought then to me and i did the covers for them. I used my Handy Dandy Silhouette machine (I'm pretty sure I'll always refer to it as Handy Dandy). They turned out so cute and it's inspired me to redo my cookbooks. Everything tastes better when the recipe come out of something cute!! Am i right!?!

Knox's New Perch.

Knox Loves to go outside, I don't let him very often unless he's in the backyard and I'm out there. Well until Brad puts the fence back up. He Screams and freaks out when he's not aloud out. In this house he's even got figured out how to open the front door, So we always have to have it locked. Anyway he found a new Perch this past week. The kid's like playing with the next door's kid's and basketball hoop. Knox has it figured that Grandpa's walker is a perfect height. So up he gets with his juice box and fruit snack's and watches and wishes he was out there with them.

So We are pretty sure we've got Knox's profession pinned....................

Grandpa Rod came way across town this weekend for a visit. The kid's love that he gets to stay over sometimes when Grandma has other things going on. This week Grandpa got in a bit of trouble for laughing to loud and waking Knox up so he was sent downstairs to watch Tim the Tool Man. Grandpa was woken up in the morning/afternoon by the two little boy's bringing him oreo's. I don't know how he got them trained so fast, but they were running back and forth with oreo's. In the afternoon Grandpa showed the kid's a experiment he saw on T.V.

It was warm milk with drops of different food coloring and then you drop a bit of soap in the middle and watch. It's really cool. It would be even cooler if Grandpa remembered why it did what it did.

So it's been a busy week. The little boys discovered our shower. They pretty much want in it everyday. I introduced them to the freedom of the had held sprayer. They take turns spraying each other. It's super funny to watch.

We had a minor miss hap with the Hot water tank on Sunday. It was leaking all over the place so we had to shut it off. The kid's had all showered and i had, Brad was the only one who had not showered. So before we shut off the hot water we got a bucket full of Hot water and Brad had to use that to shower off. I was doing my hair and said to my ever so pessimistic Brad, "Brad Cant you ever see the positive in situations?" and he said " what is the positive in this Kade really" and i said " I get to watch you squating over a bucket of hot water trying to wash your hair, That's just plain funny" Yea, he quite talking to me for a hour. But it was the funniest thing I've seen in a super long time.

Last Saturday was the KubKar. B is still doing cub's in 5th ward so he can finish his stuff up that he's started. It was so fun to go. He did a lightning Bolt, he called it the BOLT. Last year Blaze was super mad that B got a car and he didn't so this year Brad made him a skateboard car called the Blazer. The Brody's car got 4th overall. He was pretty excited until they let Blaze do one race with Brody and Blazers car won. oh what do ya do.

The boy's love to help me make anything. As soon as the mixer comes out the boy's come running. It's super annoying but i think one day I'll look back and think it was fun. I'm pretty sure that won't be for a super long time. you will notice Knox has his shoes on with his diaper. He gets up in the morning and puts shoes on. I think it's on the off chance he gets a second to escape out one of the door, He would be able to take the opportunity.

You may not realize from this blog that we do actually have 2 more kids. It seems that i only have pictures and story's about the little boys. We'll i do. The other 2aare in school all day so I see them way less, I only wish these 2 little boy's were in school so i could see them way less. Just kidding (kinda).

They keep me so busy with things that i don't want to be busy doing EX. cleaning up Pee and Poop. Settling wrestling matches before someone body slams someone else. Putting cushions back on the couch. Sweeping up cookies. Keeping them from locking each other in the pantry. Picking up all the kitchen appliances around the house. Taking the vacuum away all the time. Trying to keep there girl like screaming to a minimal.

On weekends Brad gets a taste of what these boy's are like, I know he's happy to be working the rest of the week to get away from there trail of dust.

Anyway i love my boy's but I'm not going to lie, they are a hand full and as soon as i can, will be sending them to school!! Anyway these are a few of the things that went on last week on the home front.

That was a week in the little boy's life. One day it will slow down and i'll look back and think "oh those were good times" I'm just not sure how long that will take.

I made these poster for the kids. I'm going to get them printed at Costco. I've got cute frames that will fit a 11X14. So they will be pretty big. It thought they turned out really cute.

Blue and Gold

So this week it was Blue and Gold day. And of course the kid's tell me the morning of. Well we called Grandma Falene in a panic, Because we new she had old clogging outfits that are blue and gold. After Paris got them on she hesitated a little and said "Mom i think I'm to shy for this". Yea shy. Anyway she wore it and was glad she did. Brody was pretty easy cause he had his hockey jersey to wear.

Meanwhile back at the house, I am driving Brad crazy trying to pick a color for the house. I now have 7 samples all over the walls. And i still don't think they are quite right. Hmmm we'll see what we end up with.

Last night we Ragged Paris Hair. It turned out so cute, and who new it was so easy. Anyway that's the happenings as of this week

So we are working (on weekends) like crazy trying to get settled into the new house. First order of business was painting the kid's rooms. The wall's were in pretty bad shape so a fresh coat of paint and baseboards were in order.

This is how the room started,

This was her first choice of paint but after 5 coats we thought of screw this

two coat of her second choice later, this is the result.

After her room was fully painted both Brody and Blaze wanted this colour. Paris put a quick stop to that, so Brody got the blue shade of this colour and it's getting done this week. Blaze on the other hand is getting a nice shade of brown. Poor child, but that's what he gets for having a bedroom upstairs were i see it 20 times a day! Í'll post the final results after all the baseboard and decorations are up!

I'm still trying to find a paint color for the rest of the house. I'm totally torn i really want a steal/blue ish colour but It's so big that I'm afraid it will be to much. I just need to do it. I'm sure I'll love it. And if not Brad said I only have to deal with it for 3 years before he would help me repaint.

Today Knox would not put on his diaper so he got undies. He's not getting potty trained yet but he looks so cute in his big boy ginch.

What a Move.

Since getting back from Disneyland a couple week's ago, we've packed up our house and moved across town to another house. It was a quick deal, which actually is not even finished yet. We are still working on our mortgage, After having such a crappy time with our bank, they ended up taking $9000 penalty pay out instead of the $2400 which is what we were expecting. So we ended up paying out to sell the house which sucks but it's sold and we are now in a bigger home it's just taking us a bit longer to get everything together for the next mortgage. Long story short it's been a long 2 weeks.

Blaze took the stress in stride, One day i walked into the bathroom after he had been in there for a half hour and found this.....

Knox on the other hand, dug right in and helped me out with the packing a moving (that was typed with a whole lot of sarcasm)

I'm not sure why the boy's like the flour as much as they do but flash back to a year ago when the exact same thing happened, except we were not trying to pack up our house, clean and move. Timing is everything.

Grandma and Grandpa came over Sunday, and Blaze thought potato head lips'were hilarious to kiss with.

Blaze also thought it was a good idea to try his hand at cutting his hair, Can we say Vanilla Ice, Except Vanilla's was done by a expert hand while Blaze was done by a 3 year old hand, We thought it would be cool to give him steps and then keep going with the design on the top. But i'm pretty sure that wont happen.

So as of now we are painting the kid's bedrooms down stairs. We'll see how they turn out, they picked pretty cool colors.

Disneyland

Wow it was the Longest "short" trip I've ever been on. We left Saturday and returned Wednesday (actually 2am Thursday morning). I thought oh it was going to be so short but really it felt like an eternity. We had so much fun. Paris and Brody were the perfect ages.

We've decided Paris was our little thrill seeker. The kid's were all good sports they try ed every ride that we wanted to go on. I forced B into a couple but he did it.

So on our way to Missoula we took the short way which was a two laner right thought the mountains, Which was a beautiful drive. The kids were so excited about the mountains they kept asking to take pictures of them. So half my memory card is of mountain pictures which really i don't care about, After a bout a half hour of getting the camera out i told them no more mountain pictures. So here is one of the 5000 mountain picture on our drive down to missoula.

We got to the airport and went through security, Which was so funny with the kids, The last time they flew was when Brody was 5 and Paris was 3 so Paris remembered nothing of it and Brody remembered little. So when they had to take of coats and shoes and put there bag's in the containers i thought we had lost Brody for sure. The look on his face was horrific, I figured we was not going to walk through the metal detector. But he finally did and we got redressed and off we went. After that the kids could not stand themselves they were so excited to get on the plane. Brad told me when Brody and he were in the Airport Bathroom Brody said to him "Dad I'm so excited already i don't know what I'm going to do with myself when we actually get to Disneyland".

The flight was fine (i hate flying) but it was fine. We got to LA at 9 and by the time we got to the hotel it was Midnight and everyone was tired and a little on edge (and when i say everyone i mean Brad). So off to bed we went.
We had a great time the entire time and I'm warning you all now there are a tonne of pictures in this post. I'll finish telling about the trip with the rest of the pictures.

autopia. This one was so funny Paris was driving and halfway through she threw her hands up and said "mom, I don't know how to do this"... All she was doing was stearing i had to push the gas for her, Stuff like that makes me nervous for when she actually is driving a real car that she has to stear and press the gas at the same time.

I just thought this guy was funny, He was totally just lounging in the pink tea cup. It just struck me as funny so i whipped my camera out and shot a quick pic of it.

This kids were so excited about the ducks, i got a bit snippy with them trying to tell them we had ducks at home but we don't have a space mountain at home. They did not get it, so we stopped and checked out the ducks on the way to space mountain.

This was my star sighting, It was a little embarassing how excited i got over it, But when i saw Mary Poppin's i almost yelled it to Brad. Brad told me to calm down but not before i snapped this picture of Mary with a random little girl. hmmmm

Monday night we went to Medieval times. We did this once before when we were in Dallas, And we found one close to disneyland so we thought be should do it again. Brody had kind of remembered it from texas but Paris had no recolection of it. But she loved it this time. This is kinda like a dinner theater but it's like your back in the Medival times so we had no forks or knives we ate a half a chicken on the bone with fingers and everything else was with fingers.

So we watched the knight jouste and sword fight, We were cheering for the green knight. Everything they had a match the princess would give them a flower and the knight's would go back to there cheering section and give it to someone, Well Paris got the first one and then he came back on the third and was going to give her another one but we told him she already had one and then after all that the princess gave the knight a fighting ribbon that they needed to give to a girl in there cheering section so they could be the princess of love and Beauty, And he gave that to Paris as well. We told Paris that he must have a crush on her, and her eye's opened really wide and she said "i think he does". Hehe it was so funny. The whole night the servers the King and Knight's called everyone lord's and Lady's and they kept calling Paris Princess which she was totally floored with, Everytime they would stay Princess she would give us the look like "did you hear that, they called me it again" It dident help that all though disneyland all the workers called her princess as well. I'm pretty sure by the end she was really thinking there was somting to that since everyone called her that. I did'nt have the heart to tell her that they called everyone that.

The one and only ride we had to force Brody to do out of all of disneyland and california adventure was "mickey's Haunted mansion" I wanted to do it so bad. so finally we got him in the room and she totally melted down started crying and trying to get out but once we were on the ride he was totally fine, I think he scared himself more then the actuall ride scared him.

We happened to be walking down in the new Orleans square when we happend upon the princess and the frog, princess. So the kid's got the mardegra beads and did a little picture taken with that princess. Paris loved it, Brody did it cause i told him to.

The kids'in Mickey's toon town. Notice Paris super outfit, I did pack her a matching outfit but she put differnt things together and refused to change into matching stuff, Notice her non matching Black sock's!! Oh well.

We happen to see Cinderella and the mice on the way to the castle so we followed and the kid's were first to get there picture taken with her. Brody went up there and Cinderella said to the mice, "well he look's like a young Charming,doesnt he" hehe Brody turned bright red and just smiled, I think he liked her.

California Adventure was so much fun, We saw the increadables as well as the whole monster's inc. gang.

we also spoted the plastic guys from toystory.

Tower of Terror was the one ride that Brody tryed once and refused to go on again. Paris on the other hand wanted to ride it again and again, So her and I rode it while the boy's waited outside. I loved it.

The big tube ride was one of the kid's favorites. Not mine, the water alway's seemed to find me the most.

I think if we had to pick one ride that we all loved at california adventure it would have to be the califorina screaming rollercoster.

All in all it was a great time. It was fun to take the big kid's so we could all do the biggest rides. Next time we go we will bring the little boy's but not till they are big enough to ride all the rides with us.

So just yesterday I posted about Blazer and his reluctance to wear pants. I'm not sure if i mentioned that he crys and crys when we have to go out and i have to put pants on him. So this morning i decided since it was nice out we were going to go uptown check out the toys at the pharmacy, Get milk and take the boys and do a few pictures since i have not done any since Sept. So i was trying so hard to be positive with Blaze all morning cause i knew what was coming.

So here is it documented....

He was trying to explain that we would change pants then he went and actually changed P.J. Pants. And when i explained that it was not good enough he continued to howl.....

I finally talked him into the pants, and I'm happy to say he's still wearing them (it's been 2 hours).

These are the best shots i got of the boy's, It was more work then i thought just cause there is still a tonne of snow everywhere i wanted to go but i got a couple it guess.

One other little funny thing this morning, I was changing Knox's Bum and he's got a little perfectly round mole on his little butt cheek, Blaze was running past and made a quick stop and reverse and knelt down to investigate and he does a big gasp and yell's Look guys Knox's has a polkadot. It was funny when i started pointing out his polkadots.

Ok so i was reading my friend Laura's blog today. She did a linky party with new recipes. So I started to think about all the boring things i cook everyday. So i decided i wanted to try a new recipe every week. Yikes. Anyway so i was blog surfing and came upon something so great!!!

So i called my Mom cause she loves stuff like this. So the boys and i headed over this afternoon to try out this new recipe.

This is the process.

We made Chicken salad to put inside them for supper, They were a hit!!

We used instead of the metal cones, We wrapped newspaper in to a cone shape them covered the with tinfoil. And Mom did little ones with a mini ice cream cone wrapped in tinfoil.

Tell me those are not the coolest things.

So cute. Mom keeps making them and then saying she's not making anymore, then a few more appear. They are all so cute and i'm reaping most of the bennifits of mom making apron's i donate the fabric and she give the finished Product to me.

My Blazer is Now 3 1/2 years old. He's learning and growing so much. It's surprising what he comes up with sometime. He's quite a funny little boy.

I'm a little worried about him. He's been going threw a "stage" I call it a Stage out of hope. I was looking at pictures back a year so so ago and was surprised to see the same thing happening. He does not like wearing Pants. Which to be honest I don't either. He prefers his undie or if he has to wear pants we will put on P.J. Pants. (which i do as well). Anyway we go into lethbridge and he cry's when i say he has to put jeans on, Well the more i type this the more i realize he's just like me.

I guess at some point he'll learn when it's appropriate to wear pants. Maybe he'll never enjoy it (like me) but he will find the importance of it. But mean while I've got the king of underoo's at my house. Good thing he's so cute.

I've got the cutest Batman that lives in my house. Blaze had this mask for Halloween and I'm pretty sure it's the best 2.97 I've ever spent. He loves being batman. He convinced that a Kiss from me makes him supercharged. So i get multiple kisses a day from that superhero in underoo's. Brad also claims a kiss from me makes him supercharged to But I'm pretty sure Brad was being inappropriate.

Our house sold. We are happy to be moving on to a larger space But i'm a little sad i love our house and the yard but we are so excited to move on to a larger place. We've been looking at Plans and we are going to start the process of building. I'm so excited to have more then 1000 square feet for our family to co-exist peacefully.
We have to be out the 28th of February so in other words....... I know what I'll be doing the next month.

'There has been nothing worthy of Blogging about. Well so i thought. I just have not taken pictures of anything so i think i can't blog with out pictures but i guess i can.

So we've got a creeper. We like to call her Creepy McCreeperson AKA Paris. She taken to walking around in her sleep. It's between 11pm and 3am, We hear a creak (door) and Brad and i look at each other and wait for it.   About a min. later Paris comes a creeping into our room having no idea what she's saying or doing. It's funny most of the time. She comes in and we chat with her and giggle at her and take her back to bed. We have to escort her to her room, One time i said Paris go back to bed and she ended up in the boy's room. So the other night about 2am I woke up and she was staring down at me rubbing my hair, Creepy!!! Good thing we love her anyway.

Brody is up to his usual. He's going through a stage that he knows everything (oh wait it's not a stage it's just him) grrr. ""We got into it the other morning about him closing the van door. The dashboard light's up with the word door and the light's don't turn off inside if the doors but he insists that it's not his door and and how do i know that the door is open ect.ect. It's the most annoying thing I've ever have taken part in. I ask him if he argues with his teachers, He claims he does not but the way he argues with me i beg to differ.

Blaze is up to his usual. Last Sunday i heard a child screaming and did not think anything of it till i walked past the room and realized it was my child that was screaming. I asked him after church if he was a good boy he replied with a quick yes then after a bit of contemplation he says "oh no Mommy, I was a bad boy at Primary today". In his defence (because I'm his mom and should defend him) he has a hard time with Brad teaching music in primary and he wants to be up there with him ect. He came home the first week of primary and told me he got a special cheer. he said "Mommy they tell me Hip Hip Hooray Blaze" I gave Brad a questioning look and he rolls his eyes and said the whole primary challenged Blaze to sit in his seat the whole time.   I asked if they did it for the rest of the kids, Umm Nope just our Blazer.

Knox is starting to be pretty funny. He's a rough and tumble little boy around his brother.  He can wrestle with the best of them. He's taken to only liking Brad in the middle of the night if he wakes up. I feel really bad about this (total sarcasm). Brad Say's it's just payback for the first 3 kids only liking me.

So like goes on at the Wolsey's 'Brad's work is fine, I'm fine at home. I've been doing a craft group, It's been really fun so far. I started in Oct. and we do it once a month. This month we are doing the word LOVE (if Brad gets them cut out) Next month We are doing Menu boards or Candy jar's. I have not decided or Maybe if all goes as Planned I'll have to postpone till......... March..........

I'll explain that next week if it happens. Anyway we are planning and preparing for our trip to Disney land. Not to much longer and we'll be flying away to a warmer destination. And just after that It will be Brad and my 10th Anniversary. (how has he done it? I know)

We had a pretty quite new year. We made and ate Mexican food, MMMmm . We talked about things we have done well in 2010 and things we will try harder to do in 2011. We headed downstairs and watched a movie on the projector and then Bed time at 8:00PM. Then Brad went up to get a movie but the one we wanted was gone so i watched Dallas while Brad played PS3. And well that's how we brought in the new year. Next year maybe we'll go all crazy and actually watch the countdown.

So this new year I'm hoping to sell this house and be building a new house!!! That's my biggest wish for the new year. Also that we will remain healthy and we can be happy. I don't make new years resolutions cause i forget about them in a month anyway but i have heard of people choosing a word for there new year and i decided my word for this year is going to be Patients. Hopefully I'll be able to use this word with my family and everyone else.

So I usually don't ask Santa for any in particular, We usually don't buy much for each other. Brad's really good to remember something I've said once like 6 months previous and get that for me so it's a huge surprise. But this year i fell in love with This website. I wanted a stacked birthstone ring so bad. I usually don't like that kind of thing but this one i love love love. So she's got like 6 different rings and then 3 different sizes of the stones to choose from. So of course i picked out the rings i liked and the sizes and left it up to Brad. So Brad and my Mom spent a couple hours figuring out the perfect ring for me. I love it. I usually don't show off what i got but i love this so much I've been showing everyone! Love it! It was a little expensive only cause I've got 2 July birthday's and they are real Ruby's. But really for what you get it's pretty inexpensive.

The kid's have really been into sledding. They will go for hours at a time. They go to the hill by the Lodge, so when they get cold they can go visit the Grandma's that live there, get warmed up and head back out again! It's pretty fun to watch. They take jumps like it's nobodies business. It's there new passion and they were so excited when they woke up Christmas morning and they had 2 new sled's to go with.

Ahhh Christmas has come and gone again this year. It's amazing how stressed you can get for one simple day. I did pretty well this year i think. The kid's loved all there presents (which i had no help in buying, except for one.... thanks Brad). The grocery's got bought and i did not forget one thing OK except for cream. But still pretty good.

Blazer and Carson

Christmas Eve afternoon we went over to Wolsey's for a German Christmas. We made the salad and dessert. The recipes were German and well the dessert was excellent the salad we made was not my favorite. the rest of the food was great well everything i was adventurous enough to try, some of it like the cabbage stuff i took Brads word for it that it was good.

Playing Games

So we ate, played games, opened Presents. And we also decorated Gingerbread house. I opted out of ours cause well if you read a post from a couple weeks' ago you would know why.

It was a super fun time.

Then we headed home to get ready for our Christmas eve. We got the slush ready, soup, dip ect.ect.

Grandma and Grandpa Hough came. It was great food, and of course good time. The kid's were so tired so they had to have a 8 oclock bedtime. Which was a good thing cause we were up till after midnight getting toy's together and everything set up!

So i guess 29 is my mature age, Cause every year up till this year i have not been able to sleep!! But i did it this year i slept all night.

So If you check out the video below you can see what B and Paris favorite present was. I would say this year for Knox his favorite gift was Paris zuzu pet. Yeah Paris wishes it was not but what do ya do.

Blazes most favorite present should have been his train set (which he does like) but i think his most favorite was actually Playdoh.

She won the sleep mask at the white elephant game we played. Again a one doller present and she loves it more then her other presents.

This was B's Haul. If your wondering about he lovely hair accessorie, he got a new game from Grandma Falene that he loves and it came with this sweet looking sweat band, and well besides when we ate our turkey dinner, that sweat band has not left his head.

Blazed loved his candy most.

Hmmmm look's like someones going to disneyland.

Anyway lesson learned again and again you spend so much on the kid's and there favorite present usually end's up being the $10 present.

Christmas is fast approaching.... Yikes. I have not even got to the point were i think, OK do i have everything. This year I'm so lucky to have what I have. I'm so lucky to have my family, the gospel, My Wonderful Husband, Our Really Tiny house, Brad's job. Having so many hard things happen in a small town around the Christmas season really Brings the true meaning of Christmas right back into focus. The Gift of the savior and how that snowballed into the gift of the atonement. I Am so thankful at this time for my beliefs, and i am hoping i can remember this in a few months, at how grateful i am for everything i have.

I'm extra grateful for these fat little knee's, Knox loves loves loves shoes and you can imagine his excitement when he discover Paris Kitty cat's actually went on your feet. I think he slept in them.

This past Monday I was invited to a birthday dinner for a friend but unfortunately i have a horrible sinus cold/cough/snot/aches/feeling really crappy sickness. So i opted to keep it to myself, so instead we made our treats to deliver (that's sounds bad after i said snot then i claim to be making people treats, Yikes i swear i was only in charge of popping the popcorn and my hand's were clean).

Brody and Paris were in charge of Packaging...... That was really hard to give up control of this, But i did.

Knox and I were in charge of popping the popcorn. We made a great team until Knox discovered that the popcorn was edible. Then he was quickly relived of his duty's so we would have enough popcorn for the syrup.

Brad and Blaze were in charge of making the syrup. Which Really is because Brad does it the best.

I ask Brody what happened, This is what he said " well i was sitting by him and i had my leg's crossed so i could not move out the way fast enough." He said all of the sudden the little guy covered him mouth and the next thing Brody knew he saw chunks flying in his direction. It did just hit his pants but i took a whole new wardrobe change. Blahhhhhh!!

Anyway meanwhile Knox was napping and Blaze was watching TV so with my quick thinking i ran out the door thinking i did not want to wake up Knox, So Being the best mom ever i left the house, saw the neighbour snow blowing his driveway, so i yelled across the fence and asked if he saw anyone come into the house would he make sure they did not leave with one of the boy's, and that i would be right back. I'm the best Mom ever. I was informed when i got home that in fact a man did go in only but only left with our electronics, luckily he left the boy's. Hehe

It's that time of year when i get to order my blog book!! I finally received it yesterday, It was only like 15 day's late. I was starting to get a bit worried about it cause i ordered it back in November. So with as long as it took i''m pretty sure all the presents i ordered after i ordered the book, will arrive about a week after Christmas.

Anyway this year my book is bigger and better then last years. I did a Hard back book and it's got just over 200 pages in it from this past year. The kid's have already dived into it and we were laughing about all the funny things that happened last year. Anyway it gave me a renewed energy to keep going with the blog. It seems so meaningless sometime but after seeing a year of it and having the kid's sit down and read all about what we did last year, I've decided it's worth the few minutes of my time to keep a record of what we are doing, as dumb as it seems. Anyway if anyone is thinking about getting your blog published into a book...... DO IT! Totally worth every penny!

A Christmas Family Home Evening

Yesterday after church Brad and Paris and Blaze went outside to check the rink while i laid down. 2 hours later i peeked outside to see what they were doing. This is what they were doing.................

Paris had so much fun working on there fort with her Dad.

Tonight we had a Christmas family home evening. Earlier today i made salt dough ornaments and baked them and then tonight we painted them. Well it was a hit. Blaze adores Crafts and he finished about half of the ornaments before the big kid's even got one done. He was licking his lip's at the same speed as he was painting. They Painted and glittered to there hearts content.

After we sang Christmas songs and read a Christmas story. Then we had eggnog and a Christmas donut. it was a fun time.

Grandma Sharon came over for FHE and brought us some homemade treats as well as some sparklers. The kid's loved them once we told them that they were ok to play with.

I usually don't post unflattering pictures of myself but this one was to good to miss out on. Wow Brad really got quite a sexy lady, Wouldent you say???

Oh the Smell of Christmas................

Christmas is upon us once again. It's such a great time of year. I feel so prepared this year. I know that only means i'm forgetting something.

We started out the season by doing a a gingerbread house. I told the kid's we should wait till Dad got home so he could help us. But They wanted to do it right away. I have no patients for stuff like that and Blaze dropped the wall s and broke them before we even started. So i tried to ice them back together. We tried our hardest but we could not get that sucker to stay up. So if fell and i told the kids to just eat what they wanted and throw the rest away. As i was walking away i heard them mumble under there breath " we should have waited for dad" WOW had i not just told them that???

We really have not been crazy busy this Christmas. It's been nice. I'm not in the mood to be busy. Blaze and Knox on the other hand are in the mood to be busy. Yesterday they were more active then usual. I should have know when i did not hear from them for a good 15 min that something was up.

Well they had a tube of toothpaste and my jar of lip stuff in Blazes room. They had it all in there hair on there arm's leg's, Tummy's faces, On the carpet? Why you ask, well let me say i asked the same thing. Brad's first question was were did they get them from. Hmmmm The closet were they were put up high but i guess not high enough. Well knoxs hair is still greasy. I'm not sure how to cut through Really thick Lip gloss.

I only took a picture of Knox cause Blaze was getting in troble for it. I realize they were both involed but i'm pretty sure Blaze was the ring leader.

Today was a baking exchange that i was in. I got up early this morning and baked 9 dozen cookies!! Mmmmm Shortbread and they are melt in your mouth good!! Mmmm Anyway this is what i took .................

Well i was asking myself that question this morning! My First baby is NINE years old today! Oh how i miss the day's that i was stuck in the house with just one baby. Thinking he was the crabbiest Baby on earth. (which he was not). I miss the day's of thinking i was in total control of this little person. I was going to raise him Properly and the way I wanted. I am know lucky if i can get him out the door with his teeth brushed, Hair combed and not smelling like week old laundry. I miss the day's of him running full blast around corners and laughing cause he alway's cranked his big head around and came head first. I miss thinking everything he did was so cute (that no longer happens pretty much ever).

I do love all the good things that are coming from having a 9 year old. He's such a good boy for the most part. He loves his family and he's a blessing to have in our home (most days).

We are so glad Brody is a part of our family. He's got so many good quality's.

So the top 9 reason we love Brody are

1. He is a awesomee big brother

2. He let's me sleep in his bed with him (From BLAZE)

3. He is kind to me (Paris)

4. He's a awesome Babysitter when i have to sneak off of a few Minutes.

5. he's very responsible

6. he is very strong willed

7. he's got a great sense of humor (when we are not laughing at him)

8. He's got a flair for the Dramatics (yes he can still pitcha wild fit)

9. His Talent of Telling Stories. Well It starts as a sentence but end's up being a 20 min. story.

We are so lucky to have this sweet spirit in our home (I Don't usually call him that but it's his birthday and we are both in a good mood.)

He's been such a blessing for us. We are glad he's our first!

Rink Opening!

So It's finally here. OK well it was a week ago. The opening of the Bradford West side Rink (that's not the official name but it the name for now till i come up with a super funny one). It only took him a week to Perfect this year. Mind you, it was a week of night's with temp's down to -35. Yikes. Anyway the kid's are in love. Blaze has a pair of skates this year and has now stood up on the ice. (he started just going on his hands and knees cause he didn't want to fall.)

Paris has really taken off and she'll be a great skater before we know it. Brody is loving the opportunity to get extra skate time with out his Goalie equipment.

As much as i make fun of Brad for spending hour and hours and hours talking about it and then even more hours making it, I'm so glad he does it. The kid's will spend the entire day out there skating and playing.

Temple Picture Craft.

Ok So here is a quick "how to" on the Temple Picture craft. We did it for This November for Craft night! The ones I'm showing you are actually ones i did for my kid's but they are just painted different and i added a little something else to them. But the general directions are the same.

Supply list:

1. 16 x 16 Piece of Bead board. We got ours from Home Depot but we had to by a 4 x 8 sheet and we had them cut it down to 16x16 i think it ended up giving us 18.

2. 16 x16 1/8inch MDF we got this at Totem in a 4 x8 sheet and had them cut it down into the 16 x 16 pieces as well

3. Wood Glue

4. Clamps

5.8 x 10 piece of Plexi glass. You can get the precut ones at Home Depot for $5 or we got a larger sheet of it and Brad cut it on a table saw. It's cheaper this way but you have to have a very Sharpe blade and you have to be very careful so it does not chip.

6. 1/2 inch #6 screw's (Home Depot)

7. #6 acorn Nut's (Home Depot)

8. 2 yards of ribbon per picture

9. Iron Handle We were lucky enough to find a Man in town to do them up for us. (Charlie at the Co-Op).

10. Drill

Instructions:

1. Glue with wood glue your 1/8 MDF to the Bead board. Use clamps to press it together. Let it dry for a couple hours (we left ours overnight)

2. You need your drill out now. You'll need to find Drill bit's that match your screw's then one bigger drill bit for your handle.

3. You can Drill the holes in your plexi glass. With this you have to be a bit careful cause the Plexi will chip if you press to hard. But drill holes about a quarter inch in from each corner.

4. Once the plexi is drilled Place the plexi were you want your picture to be. Get a marker or pencil and mark the holes from the plexi onto the bead board.

5. remove your plexi and drill the 4 holes in the board.

6. Place your handle above the top middle of the board. You can mark were your bigger holes ( for the ribbon) should be. Mark and drill with the larger drill bit.

7. OK now's it time to paint... For the Temple pictures we sanded down the Bead board a bit cause it comes with kinda a weird finish. So sand it down a bit just to rough it up. Next put a coat of ivory paint. After that dry's you can do a lite sanding (depending on the look your going for) and put a coat of brown wash (wash is made from a bit of Brown paint mixed with water) you wipe it on and the wipe it off again. Keep doing that till you get your desired look.

For mine i used a robin's blue paint and i ruffed it up quite a bit and did a darker wash on it.

6. After your paint dry's completely you can start putting your frame together. First you'll have to trim down your 8 x 10 print a bit. You can measure but it just has to fit between your plexi drill marks.

7. So take the protective coat of your plexi glass now place the picture under it and put it on the board making sure all the holes match up. Put your screw's under the board through the hole and the Acorn nut goes on top and screw's into the screw. (wow did that make sense.)

8. thread your ribbon through the top holes and around your Handle. and then tie in a bow.

9. Apply your vinyl and your done!!

For mine that I'm using for the kid's i added a little Wood piece to the bottom with wood glue and put there name on it.

I Went down stairs to check on the little boy's yesterday. I came upon a crime scene...... A real who done it. Someone had got a hold of a Black Permanent Marker (yes i know i should keep them hidden, And i actually do) and proceeded to marker his Brother along with the T.V. The wall's and the Plug cover.

So our automatic suspicion pointed strait to Blaze. He's usually behind things like this. And he heard me coming down the stairs and ran and hid behind the cupboard. But If you remember back to This Post, Knox has been know to get marker happy, and he really has a fascination with Outlet's where Blaze really does not. Hmmmm Between the two of them i don't think there is really a Innocent party.

My question now is how to remove the Permanent marker before Sunday (that's the only day the boy's leave the house, except to go to Grandma's and we know she won't judge us). Hmmmm A couple week's ago Blaze made a ink pen explode all over his face and Mom used Hairspray to get it off. I guess we'll try that but I'm afraid it will have to flake off with there skin!

I guess i would worry more if they cared more but they just don't. Blaze woke up this morning and asked if it was gone. Brad went to great lengths to explain what PERMANENT means. But alas it flew right over Blaze's head and I'm sure the minute he finds the pen again he'll do the same thing.

I love day's like this. We checked the weather last night and found out how stinking cold it was going to be!!! Yikes So I got up this morning and thought oh forget it I'm not sending the kiddies to school in the freezing cold. I don't even want to open the door.

So we stayed home all day. We baked Muffins, Watched Lot's of NetFlix, Made cookies, colored. It was all smooth sailing till i was nap time. Yikes when this Mama does not get a nap I am not happy. But i dealt with it and we made it through the freezing cold day, with out opening the blinds, Getting dressed and i almost made it all day with out putting on a bra. That is a good day for me!!

Well tomorrows is back to the regular grind. It's suppose to be nicer weather. I'm hoping they are right cause it's big sale day at Micheal's and i really want to head in!!
Also Brad's rink is about done and he's antsy to get everyone skating on it. Yikes I'm not skating on anything if it's not close to -1.

So my I'm setting a early new years resolution to keep up on my blog better. I was talking to my Mom this morning and she said she misses me Posting on here as much as i use to. So even though i live a block away from her and she See's pretty much everything happen in my life I'm going to keep up better on this for her!!

Craft Night

Friday was our second Monthly craft night. It was so fun. We did some fun crafts. Our first one was a Temple picture frame thing. It was a bit of work to get all the kit's together but totally worth it. They all turned out so pretty. I love them. I'm excited about doing my own! I'm going to post a tutorial on how to make your own or how to finish them (if you got a kit from me).

Our second craft was hand stamped Jewelry. I've seen these all over the Internet. So i got the stuff and tried it and they turned out so cute so i thought we better do it. That night we were stamping on wood which was a source of aggravation..... I realize now that had we been stamping on cement they would have worked out so much better but hopefully everyone was happy enough with them. If not your welcome to come use my cement and I've got extra discs.

Anyway it was a lot of fun we had about 32 lady's come to do one or both craft's. and they were from magrath, lethbridge, raymond Coaldale. Next month is going to be a bit more low key as we are only doing one craft but it should be tonnes of fun!

Lost Pictures

I usually make it a habit to take pictures and go right home and put them on the computer so i can label exactly what they are pictures of.

Well i guess i didn't one time and i was going through our forgotten photos. Bahhh There are a few gem's.

The kid's made a little pile of leaves and jumped in it. They decided it was not big enough when they both hit the ground full force. So they decided it was fun to toss the leaves.

I'm so glad Brad has a super sence of humor, cause he's going to need it when he see's these pictures.

What Crafty Girls

Paris had a sleepover with her friend Tiana on Friday night. They woke up and were eager to play. Brody and I left early to lethbridge and left Brad in charge of the little boy's and the girls. So the girls found all the scrap pieces of wood we have floating around and got out my craft paint's and started painting. Blaze joined in and they got Lots painted and were so excited. It took them a while to decide what to do with all the painted wood.

They came up with........ Selling them!! Bahaha Brad was so embarrassed but Blaze and the girls Pulled out the little table to the road, Got there chairs out, and Painted a giant MDF sign! They placed thier woods on a pampers box and got ready to sell. They started out charging 4 dollars for the big pieces and then down from there. I talked to Paris for a minute on the phone and she was a little disappointed in Brad. DAD would not let them sell thier stuff uptown and second, he made them lower the price.

So they ended up with 4 pieces for a dollar. Brad was working in the back yard and before he new it the girls were running back yelling about their first 2 dollars! Brad was dying of embarrassment in the back yard as the girls were waving car's over, chanting about thier goods. At one point they had to run back to the craft room and paint some more wood because demand was so high.

After being sold out of Painted wood scrap's they came out with a total of $10, Yep that's right $10.

I'm still giggling about it! What funny kid's.

Happy Halloween!

It was a successful year of trick or treating. We started out with the grandma's and Grandpa's then headed out across town. We only Trick or treat on our side cause there are so few out that the kid's always make a haul. Plus we Get Sister Lowrý's Pumpkin Cookies on this side of town (that's right Sister's, I even bumbed one for myself this year).

Knox only got to the grandparents then got tired out. Blaze made it 3 block's then he could not stand the fact that he was in possetion of Candy and was not eating it, So he called it quits so he could go eat all his candy. But the big kid's stuck it out till 8.

Anyway the kid's had a great time, they got Lot's of Playdough, chocolate and treat's.

The funnest Part for The kids (mostly me) is organizing the candy into piles to see what all they got. Brad made us Cut it short this year (cause he's a total Grinch about Halloween and Christmas). But still we got everything divided up and the 25 candy's taken out for the Christmas countdown. And tomorrow I'm sure most of the candy will be gone.

Girls Weekend

Girls Weekend 2010. This year we were lucky to have all 5 of us! Last year Lara missed out. But this year was all of us. We opted to head down to Sandy to stay with Ali. We Headed out Wednesday and got to Helena. After much cruising we found a hotel with a room left. We were up at the crack of Dawn and headed to Idaho Fall's for a mid trip shopping. We got to Utah had a blast for 3 Day's then headed home. I was so tired by the time we got home i could hardly talk. Yes that's right i said i could hardly talk (hard to believe i know).

So be prepared for well alot of Pictures.......

Crafting Of course.

Ok so anyone out there that watches the Food Network (i know I'm a dork) will Appreciate these next pictures. So on the food network there is a show Call DINERS, DRIVINS, And DIVES. Guy goes around the U.S. and goes to all the "Hole in the Wall" Places and trys them out. Well this was one that made the show. It's called the Lone star Taquaria. The big thing was the fish taco's (which i won't eat fish unless it's tuna and it's out of a can mixed with mayo.) Anyway it was so exciting to go somewhere that had been on the show!

Ok this is me heading (running) into my fav. store "HOBBY LOBBY". It's like Micheal's on Steroids. Love it!

Which was a parody to You guessed it Twilight. It was so funny and had tonnes of Funny Mormon stuff in it (of course cause it was in Utah).

I've never ate so much Mexican food and sand so many wrong lyrics in one weekend. It was a blast and I can't wait till next year!

Oh my Poor Blog

My poor blog has been on my back burner for a few week's. I've been so busy with life and stuff that i have not had time for updates. And they were actually something good!

So a couple weekends ago, Brad and I went with some friends down to Conference. It was so much fun. We shopped and drove and shopped and drove. We cruised around temple square. The boy's went to the priesthood session while we met up with Ali and Kodie. We Shopped some more and went out to dinner. The girls went to California Pizza kitchen, and the boy's went to a all meat Joint. It was such a fun weekend. And We are planning on taking the big kid's next year with us.

SO excuse all the pic's but It's my blog so they are all going on.

This was the coolest new thing at the visitors center. It's a replica of the Salt Lake temple and the entire inside is done so you can see what it look's like inside. Very cool for those of us who have never been in it.

Holy Crafting, Batman

Let's go Crap together (Blazer love to craft but mispronounces the word and it comes out Crap, So this is what i hear a good majority of the day, "Mom will you crap with me", or ""Mom, What can we crap today" or " Mom I want to do a big crap today". And how does that strike a person with the maturity level of a 8 year old???? That's right i try to talk more and more about Crafting with him just to get a chuckle when the other comes out.)

Anyway that has nothing to do with this post besides it's about Crafting.

So it was our First Annual Craft night last night. We did The Candy Countdown Block's and the Candy Corn. We started at 7 and the last ones finished up about 10 and we were cleaned up and home by 10:30. There were People from Lot's of wards and some out of towners. It was fun to have a girls night out! We had 17 ladies come, which was a perfect amount for the house we were using.

Next month we got a frame and jewelry going on. Should be a great time!

Big Daddy Turns 31

Today Brad turned a big 31. Yep that's right he survived his first 31 years of life. I've got to admit i wish i could have done more for him today cause it ended up not so good for him. He started off the day OK but by 11 he found out that the Lethbridge police had sent him a birthday surprise in the mail for $110 Well he pays them that money. Yikes that's the second ticket in about a month or maybe 2. Then he had a Uncomfortable appt with the urologist, Really what is comfortable with a Urologist, (which he forgot about so he had to zip over there extra fast). And then had to sit and hold my hand while the Dentist fixed my teeth. He ended the day with a bowl of Taco Soup and a Cake Made by Mom. That i must say was his highlight I'm sure.

Top 20 things I've learned about Brad as he goes so old.

1.I get to call him Big Daddy and there is no reaction to it, He accepts that i call him that and moves on.

2. He always always Say's what, if i stare at him

3. He always Say's that he loves me even when I'm a pain in the butt

4. He acknowledges when he's in a rut and trys to change it.

5. He changes the oil in the car's

6. He likes to Play Wii with the kids (but prefers to play alone)

7. He pretty much let's the kid's run him

8. He cleans like no other.

9. He helps the kids clean there room (which actually they watch him clean it)

10. He makes dinner (usually better then me)

11. He's a kick butt Primary Chorister

12. He loves to golf

13. He loves to talk about golf

14. He won't go golfing with out his Dad

15. His idea of a good time is staying at home and watching a movie with me

16, His idea of a good time out on the town is a double feature movie with me

17. He orders the same thing at restaurant's, He says he's going to try something different then he always panics at the the last minute and goes back to his regular

18. He rubs my hair and back Pretty much anytime i whine about anything.

19. He's a excellent Kisser

20. He's very uncomfortable with PDA but he will still indulge if i throw myself at him.

So to sum up He's the best 31year old ever! He's such a good husband, father, and the world's best Hygienist.

I love him so much!! And I'm glad he's My BIG DADDY.

How does this kids come up with these things? I swear Blaze thinks every waking hour, about the things he can get into. He's been pretty quite lately and we thought that he had kinda got over his curious way. But alas he pulls this one on us tonight..................

Yep only 3 short week's ago i bought Brody this spiking wax for his hair, I gave him a lesson on using very little and how to use it. So hardly any was gone, until tonight!

Now it's all gone.

Hockey Smocky

B and I had the chance to go to the one of the Calgary pre-season games on Saturday. We won the tickets at a auctions and it happened to fall on the day of Brad's golf Tournament. So i was lucky enough to get to take B to the game.

Ok i don't know if it was luck or not. We got to Calgary and took the train down to the game. That was a experience for Brody that he does not want to repeat. There was a Stamp's Game and a flames game so the train so so packed full we were so squished and we were standing the whole way and to top it off the lady next to us on the train fainted! Yikkes B was not enjoying it at all. So we got to the game and i told him if we left a bit early from the game we would not be crowded on the train but it was up to him. He eagerly agreed and closely watched the time and let me know when we needed to leave. (he really hated the crowds.

After this trip I've decided I'm a small town girl and that's ok. I had a gut ache the entire time just from the crowds. yikkes. I'll leave the next game up to Brad.

B had a tonne of fun and it was exciting to be there If the Oilers would have been playing it would have been so much more exciting. I felt guilty cheering for the flames, Cause we just really don't like them but they were a step up from Tampa Bay i guess.

Be was in charge of the camera so sufficient to say, Most pictures were of the goalies.

Today was a nice day out. The first of the summer/fall season i think. So we decided not to waste it and went for a drive out to St. Mary's Reservoir. The kid's played at the park and we walked around then headed to Cardston and went to the temple and then off to see Grandma and Grandpa Hough. We played Mormon Trivia for treats on the way. It was a nice afternoon to get out and enjoy all the changing colors of fall.

Look close and blaze and brad are connected by snot! hehe

Some of the leaves were so yellow and pretty i could not resist trying to take the kid's pictures but of course nobody co operates and well this is what we got!......

Life is Peachy

Yes that title is a play on words, Yes not the most cleaver but it will suffice. So this past week i went and picked up my 40 pounds of Peaches and 54 pounds of pears. I decided this year with the help of Falene, to bottle Peaches and Pears. I've bottled Cherries before, but this was my first big bottling (which really was not that much compared to what some people do).

So What i learned is
1. When the peaches are ready you do them! No matter what.
2. When the pear's are ready you do them! No matter what
3. Falene is a Slave Driver, Ok not really but holy Moly when she gets going on something you can't make her stop. I've said before these hands(meaning my own) were not meant for very much manual labor. And Falene came home after work put on her Canning clothes and she was ready to Bottle till, i swear, the wee hours of the morning!!! Boy did i breath a sigh of relief when she decided we better wait till the next day to do the pears! She's a machine!

This was Blazes job to peel and pit the peaches. He really did help tonnes untill the big kid's got home and he became distracted

Long story short, I'm so glad Falene taught me how to bottle! I felt pretty bad for her, having to talk over yelling kid's, step over every toy and book bag imaginable. It was a good time but next year I'm kinda hoping the peaches and pears are ripe a week apart and that fall's on weekends when The Dad of the screaming kid's is around to take them!

Anyway I'm so glad to have all those bottles on the shelves! Falene said it's an exciting site, And i agree it really is the best feeling. Know I'm looking around trying to figure our what else i can bottle!

Corn Anyone?

This year our Garden was prosperous! We got corn, Peas, Carrots, Some Potato's, Pepper's, and Tomato's.

The kid's were thrilled with the outcome and pretty much ate it all right out of the garden. The final harvest has been the last couple day's. It's the corn. We found we have a few corn lover's , Well Paris and Brody are average corn lover's, Blaze is a "sauce"lover, (he licks off the butter and salt and leaves the corn) but One is by far the biggest corn lover.

I bet i can guess what his diapers are going to look like tommorow.
