Craft's Craft's Craft's

Ok one craft that i actually finished. Mom and I have been on a quest to find different way's to use Yo-Yo's, not the Toy ones, The fabric ones. Grandma let us borrow (or gave, I don't remember which but unless she asks for them back will probably never see them again) a set of Yo-yo Makers. We love them they are mindless and easy and turn out so cute, The big questions is what to do with them. So this is what i came up with. I think it turned out cute.
Photobucket
Next Yo Yo project= a quilt with Yo-Yo's. We'll see how and when i get that done

Oh One more thing. It's not Crafty but they are so yummy. Brad and I get on a kick with new food. We find something we really like then we over do it, Cook it tonnes then all of the sudden forget about it and move onto our next best recipe. I don't think this is going to happen with this.

The other night I was watching a Show with Jamie Oliver (the Naked Chef) but it was a show that he goes all over the states and teaches people how to cook healthy. Anyway one thing he made was Panini's. Mmmmm How hard it that? Not hard at all. So i got looking up recipes for Panini Bread, I found this one. You Mix it all in your bread machine then all you have to do is make it into long bun's and cook them. MMMMMMM.

This recipe also makes great focatchia bread!
Ingredients
2 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
2 cups warm water
5 cups all-purpose flour or bread flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon olive oil
4 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary or 2 teaspoons chopped fresh rosemary
1/8 teaspoon dried marjoram (optional)
2 teaspoons chopped fresh Italian parsley (optional)
1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon lemon pepper

Directions
1 Prior to placing ingredients in breadmaker, fill the container with water.
2 It needs to accomodate at least 11 cups of water.
3 If it has that capacity, you can dump the water out and proceed.
4 The dough makes a large amount and does rise to the top of the container.
5 Place all ingredients in bread machine in order suggested by the manufacturer.
6 If desired, you can hold off placing the herbs into the machine and wait until forming the loaves to place on top of bread.
7 Set machine to dough cycle.
8 When cycle is complete, punch dough down and knead a few times on a lightly floured surface (the dough should remain somewhat sticky).
9 Place dough in oiled bowl, turn to coat with the oil, cover, and allow to rise again until doubled, about 1 hour.
10 Ten minutes prior to rising is finished preheat oven to 400°F Lightly grease two baking sheets (I line them with Silpat sheets).
11 After dough has risen the second time, press air out and divide dough in half (dough will still be sticky, do not use more flour).
12 Press (using your hands) each half with a light touch into approximately an 8 x 11-inch rectangle on the individual prepared pans (rustic looking is okay, but don't press too flat).
13 Brush with olive oil.
14 If you haven't already added the herbs into the dough, scatter garlic, oregano, rosemary, marjoram, peppers, and parsley over surface of each and press lightly.
15 Sprinkle with salt.
16 Bake about 20-30 minutes or until a light golden.
17 Serve warm or slice to use for a panini sandwich and grill.
18* Notethat preparation time doesn't include about 3 hours of rising time.

So we did that then we filled our Pannini's with All colors peppers, That we had toasted on the George Foreman previously, we added red pepper and we shredded up chicken (or you can use chicken from a can.) Then we added cheese and Poppy seed dressing (noname from walmart=Mmmmmm) and brushed the top with EVOO(extra virgin olive Oil, for those who don't watch Rachel ray). Put it on the George foreman bushed the other side with EVOO and put the top down and squished the heck out of it. A Miracle happened that very day in our Kitchen. The Ultimate Wolsey Pannini was born.

So yesterday we had Panninis again this time we used Cajun chicken lunch meat (which is really good and you can get it fat free i think) with peppers and onions and again the POPPY SEeD dressing and MmmmmMmmmm Mmmm It was so good. The kids' have ham and cheese in there's but they do love them s well.

Photobucket

2.Paris Highlight was swimming with Grandma and Dad. She loved it and I've got to say everywhere Paris goes she can always make a Friend, by 10am she had made 2 freinds at the pool, That she was busy playing with. If only we could all make friends that easy

3. B's Highlight I would say was his purchase of a big bag of sea shell's from Ross's Dress for less........??????? He spent a good 15min debating whether or not he should spend his entire monthly allowance on a bag of shell's. He finally settled for a small bag that only cost half his allowance. Money burn's a hole in that kid's pocket. Drives us nuts!

4. Brad's highlight was swimming with the kid's and getting a few new work clothes.

6. My highlight was taking Dad with me to get supper for everyone. Not sure if it was the passenger or driver but the taco's ended up down the hall with wheel chair tire mark's through most of them. HeHe

7. Knox's highlight was getting home. He cried all the way from the coutt's border till we turned into Magrath, that's when i finally took him out of his car seat.

Hmmm How would i Know?

It's not like I've had 3 other kid's.
I was thinkgin about Knox's eating habits. He still has baby food mixed with cereal. But thinking about it a little and remembering those 4 brand new teeth he's got one top just waiting to be used, I finally looked up what he could be eating...........................

Hmmm I guess he can be eating a lot more and a lot of different things. I guess at this age Brody was eating spaghetti and fruit pieces and yogurt. I know this cause i have a picture of it. But i guess with every child you forget more and more. Come to think about it I don't even remember feeding Blaze.

So Today Knox got to eat a entire Banana and a bit of cheese. Oh the places we'll go now that i know finger food is a go.

Wow 2 in one day

Yep that's right 2 post's in one day. This one is all about our Knox. He's 9 month's old already! Times flown by. These are Knox 9 month's accomplishments.................

He is up to 6 teeth. He was 3 months when he got his first 2 and had to wait another 5 long months for the other 4 to show up.

He eats his cereal mixed with various types of vege's and fruit. He will eat till we quit feeding him. He loves his food. Per feeding (which we do twice a day) he eats 1/4c up to 1/2c of food.

He crawls like a sun of a gun and loves to sit up then as quick as he can get back on his knee's and crawl away. I think he's figured out he has to be fast with his older brother flying around.

He pulls himself up on furniture and walks around everything, I'm holding out on giving him the walking toy's cause he's to young to walk but I'm sure he could if i just showed him how.

His Most favorite thing to do is to push Blazes Big car's around the house, Or little car's or anything that will push or roll. He has been known to push the wipes around the house if there are no cars available.

He is not a good napper that's for sure. Sometimes he'll take a morning nap but not all the time. Afternoon Nap's he does have but if he's in his own bed he will only sleep for about a hour if he's beside me in our bed he'll sleep for 3, so i am forced in to having afternoon naps(hehe).

Most night's he sleep's through the night. If he does wake up it's usual only once.

And he just learned how to clap.

He is a happy baby and a pleasant baby to have. We don't really hear from him and he can be to the other side of the house before anyone notices he's gone. He loves Playing with his Big Brother. He will sit and laugh at Blaze run around him for hour's.

We are so luck to have him in our family!

A Love Story

Today has been a great day. Dad's been over visiting while Mom's in Cardston. Which was a great switch since Mom took Paris with her. Mom called today and said Paris is having a great time. Mom said they went over to see Maggie (Foxx's Sister) and Paris had so much fun. They went to go and Paris Said her goodbye's go Maggie, Mom told her to say good bye to Marvelle and Cliff and Paris replied "but i don't Care about them" Mom told her it was polite so she said goodbye.

Brody's had a great day. He got his chores done early and has been playing with a friend from down the street. He found a friend in grade 2 that has the same love of Micheal Jackson as our Brody does. They are a perfect match.

Blaze has kept himself Busy in the back yard today. The whole garden is mud. Well early this afternoon he kind got bored and wandered into the front yard, I told him he had to stay in the backyard, But he just could not, so i went out and found him a lady bug...............

He loved this lady bug he held it, Giggled as it walked up and down his arm. He was in love. He packed the trunk of his wheel's with dirt and a car for the Ladybug to hang out in.

About 10 min later he came to the door with the lady bug between his fingers ..........

Update

Wow Monday is the last update I've made. I don't think I've gone that long without updating unless i was having a baby. I went and picked up my camera today so i feel whole once again.

Wednesday there was a huge snowstorm. It was wet and heavy. It hit from Lloyd down the side of Alberta and then through Southern Alberta. We woke up about 2:30am to crying Blazer....... So i got up flipped on the light as i walked by but there was no light so i flipped on the light in the basement, no light. (he's scared of the dark). So there was no night light hence him waking up and ended up in our bed. Brody is also not a fan of the dark so he ended up in our room on the floor. About a hour later Paris woke up with a bad dream and ended up in our room. Ironically enough Knox slept though the night that night.

So we went without power for 19 hours! How did we do it? I read everyone of my magazines from front to back, I thought a book should always be in your 72hour kit. The kid's played outside then they got on there swimming suits and had a hot tub (bath). We played card's, It was OK till it started getting later and later and we still had no power and everyone else in town did. I kept calling Fortis about our power and they pretty much said we should go somewhere else for the night cause we have a low chance of getting power. Well that did not stop me from trying, I happened to be looking out the window at about 7:30 and saw a fortis truck drive by so i threw on my shoes and ran out and waited on the side of the road for it to come back. Soon a few other's were out with me. Soon the poor Fortis Man came back and we flagged him down, Begged him to just try putting the transformers up, He said if there is any power lines down from us to the golf course it was just going to pop again, But with a little persistence he tryed and they popped and so i figured that was it, so we went inside to start packing up the kid's to head to Wolsey's (my parents still had no heat or anything). We'll i guess we sounded desperate enough cause the fortis man came back said he blocked the golf course (he figured that was the problem) and put the transformers back up and sure enough there was light! So Kid's went back to bed we got to watch American idol and life made sense once again.
Things about the kid's this week.............
Brody is kinda going though a snotty stage. I snap at him and he snaps right back. I don't like it but i guess if i quit snapping at him he may quit snapping at me. Hmmmm Maybe I'll give that a try if that does not work he's going to have a very sore hide.
On the other had Brody and Paris have been big on "meetings" they get together first thing in the morning and give each other a pep talk on being so good and making mom and dad happy etc etc. and as soon as someone starts getting grumpy the other sure enough call's a "Meeting" and then they come back happy once again!
Paris is going though a emotional stage right now. We are not sure were it came from and we all hope it end's soon, One thing is said and off she goes running to her room, Door slams and well we are not even sure what happens after that cause, we are all to scared of her to check on her. So 30min or so later she comes back out just as sweet as she can be.??????
Paris was so sweet today she went to the library and looked so hard to find Brody a book that he would like and then checked it out for him. Brody does this quite often for her and she decided she better do it back, and sure enough B had done the same thing. So instead of just getting there own book both got each other a book.
Blaze is a pain in the butt still.(but we love him) He was bring grumpy this morning so i pulled out the big roll of paper, Layed him down on it and drew the outline of his body. He laughed thought it was so fun, so i told him to color his body
Photobucket
He took it literal
Knox has been such a good boy and working diligently on getting his top four teeth. They are all big and huge and so cute! He's a trooper that kid!
Photobucket
So i think i'm all caught up! Hopfully i won't go that long again so they don't have to be so long!
