Our Dennis

In the previous post we decided Blaze was a little Dennis the menace, even though he did not agree and still Say's "me Blazer", after last night IM convinced. I've been sick with a cold so last night i went and layed down and Brad and Brody were outside playing hockey and Paris was gone to gymnastics. Well Blaze was giggling and having fun and i was to sick or lazy to pull myself out of bed till i heard a huge squeal of delight followed by a huge splash. This is what i found.................................


If you can't tell what this is don't feel bad, I saw it first hand and it took me a minute to figure it out. Our Darling Dennis Oops i mean Blaze had found a entire roll of TP and put it in the sink then filled the sink with water, and then decided it would be a super idea to splash the h20/TP mixture all over the bathroom wall's and floor. Hmmm it only took 5 min and a wooden spoon to unclog the drain, but the clean up is a ongoing process today.

So Knox is growing so fast. He's six months old and ready to move. He gets excited and gets his little butt so far in the air. So yesterday he really surprised himself by sitting himself up from his tummy to his bum, it shocked him so bad he started crying. So he has started just today pulling himself with his arms' just like Brody uses to minus the grunting. He's such a good baby and we are so happy to have him.

The Many sides of Blaze

Tonight we watched Dennis the Menace. We found many similarities between Dennis and Blaze.
I asked Blaze if he was Dennis the menace he said " no me Blazer" and went about his business.

Today i stayed home from church (recouping from a cough/cold) 45min into church i get a phone call. Hmmmm could it be Brad "This kid is going to kill me" (insert Blaze screaming in the background). That was only the third time he had been out in sacrament meeting.

We love our Blaze. I think he was appropriately named. He's been our most challenging toddler but we love his little spark (just not in big doses). He is a very nice little boy and full of cuddles and kisses and really does love life! We are so happy to have him in our family, but I'm not going to lie we'll be happy when he grows out of this stage (we are crossing our fingers that it's just a stage)

What Smart Kid's I have

B and Paris both got an award this month at there assembly

B's was for best Writer (I'm assuming creative not penmanship cause no one can read his chicken scratch)

And Paris was for Most improved reader as well as participation

Both kid's were so excited about it, As was I, and Blaze was so excited he got carried away and walked right into the middle bar between two open doors on our way down to the assembly. (hehehe)

My 10 Hour projects

So I'm the Beehive advisor, and the Young women got a revamped Personal Progress program. The leaders are encouraged to do it if they would like, so i decided to do it. So for my first 10 hour project i got the Little boy's memorie book's done as well as a memorie book i did of the Wolsey reunion (which i gave to Scott and Falene for Christmas).


I did these all at artscow.com It's a super site and you can get tonnes of stuff for free but shipping is kinda expensive so i only order when i've got alot to order so it's a bit cheaper. but for example the books are 9.99 but shipping is another $10 per book. But still a super good deal I think , they have tonnes of different themes for books.

So for my second one I'm compiling a Hough Family cook book! Yep that's right. I think it will take more then 10 hours but I'm excited to do it. I found a company that publishes them and it's only like $7 per book.

So I'm super into the personalizing stuff off the computer that's way easier then scrapbooking kind of stuff. So Noelle did these Calenders that are so fun! I was so excited to get ours!

It's On

So This weekend we sat down and had a family meeting. The topic of the meeting was Blaze. We love our 2 year old beyond word's, But we all have a problem not calling I'm a pain in the butt(which he is most of the time these day's). So we gave the kid's as well as ourselves a pep talk on being kind to Blaze and not say out load what a stinker he is. Don't get me wrong we really do love love love him but all that know him personally know what I'm talking about. He's got a little spunk.



Anyway so while we were discussing that we decided to get the kid's going on chore chart's again and attitude chart's. We did this a while back and i can't remember why we stopped cause it worked great.

So they each have 5 chores per day with one Bonus chore. They also have a "only asked once" chart.

So there reward for doing the chores and walking the dog and listening and being nice they get "Buck's".

So we have a chart hanging up that has the prizes they can by for X amount of Bucks. For example 10Bucks for 1/2hour of Wii time $35 for a ice cream with mom or dad. and tonnes more.


So the kid's are so excited! They went to bed with no problem last night, Woke up this morning with no fights and bed's made and lunches made! Oh life is good for today!

Now we'll see if Blaze gets his chores done. He already earned a polite mark for saying thank you with out me telling him to. I think his biggest chore that's he's going to struggle with the most is getting dressed (he really does not like to wear anything but undies) also him being Kind chore. Hmmm We'll see!

This is how our monday started

I was busy getting things done this morning. I went out to the living room to check on Blaze, And this is were i found him (instead of were he was, watching cartoons).

Yep that's our monday morning! I'll leave the rest of our day up to imagination but it consist's of Spilled paint and yelling.

Olympic Flame

So the Olympic flame ran it's self though Lethbridge last night. So away we went to check i out. B and Paris have been into learning about the Olympics and was so excited to see it. It happened so quickly Blaze missed it all together or did not catch the excitement of it all. It really did make me a proud Canadian to see if run past.
