Happy Canada Day!

Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canadians. Was a super day, We went to the Raymond Parade and spent the rest of the day relaxing and Mowing the lawn (ok Brad did that). It was a great day.

Blaze does not remember going to a parade so he was super excited (after the policeman passed) to catch all the candy.

Yes that's a plunger beside B, Yes they tossed Plungers instead of candy!

Yesterday The Kid's made Library bag's. We have a hard time at our house to get book's back on time....... So we instituted the Library bag. The kid's keep them on the back of there door. If they are not reading the book in that second, it goes right back into the bag. That was they can keep track of them and no more late fee's. Oh and if they do get late fee's...... They are all there's!

They were so happy with how they turned out and they fit perfect so they can sling them over there shoulder and head to the library on there bike! Yea for library bag's!

It`s only Hair...... It will grow back

Foxx got a hair cut. We asked for the Lion cut, We imagined it different. Tatum said it look`s like someone stole Foxx`s pants. Hehe, Oh well i guess we`ll try something else next go around.

The Sharpes Visit

Well after asking Missy and Ryan to help us with the shingles, I volunteered to have the big kid's stay with us for a few day's (which Missy informed me is not a help to her cause they watch Scoutt) So Next time I'll just say thanks. Just kidding, It's fun to have the kids, Mind you, it would be funner if we had a big enough house to fit them all. It's been hard sleeping wise. There is not enough room for all of them and Knox, and Knox can't sleep in our room anymore cause he won't sleep if he See's us. Anyway aside from sleeping arrangement's the kid's have had a blast together, with very little fighting, Which is amazing.

Anyway Sunday, since we missed church, The kid's got a couple lesson's together and then we played games, had scones and watched Disney. Monday they went on a walk all morning with Mom and Dad, and played all afternoon outside. Monday evening we were in charge of FHE for the old folk's lodge. All the kid's sang the opening song, Keegan gave scripture, Brody Prayer, Tatum and Paris Thought and Brad and I gave the lesson. It went well and I think the kid's enjoyed it.

Today Foxx had a hair appt. In lethbridge so we dropped him off, went summer shoe shopping for the kid's. Then went to Costco, Popped over to see Brad. Then I took the kid`s to see Toy story 3. They loved it. And who knew, because it was tuesday it cost 9.99 per kid and me and that included a Med. Popcorn and Med. Pop per kid!! The kid`s thought they had Died and gone to heaven, First the Nice theater and they all got treat`s on top of that!! Pretty exciting. Then after the Movie we went to the spray park to play, then to pick up Foxx. What a long day.

What a weekend......

So this was a big weekend for us............... We decided to re-shingle the house. We've been on a very strict cash only budget. So we had to save up all our extra Money so we could pay cash for the supplies. Next door did there's and they stripped them and had someone come single for $900, We pondered this for a moment and decided we could do it on our own so we could save some money.

Well exactly 1/4 of the way through the job, I can confidently say we were both regretting our decision. We had Conned Ryan and Missy to come down and help us out, which was awesome, But i think it was more then any of us bargained for.

We stripped the roof Friday night with the help of Jim and Billy (from across the way). Then Saturday Morning came early (really early for Brad who had been suffering with his allergies all night, so he ended up with only a couple hours of sleep). We worked like crazy and we were all so tired by about 1'o clock. By about 3 o'clock Billy from across the way showed up again, He gave us our extra boost of energy, Jim popped by for a bit as well. We are grateful for the help we got.

As soon as the last single was laid we quit, we left the mess and put kid's to bed and went to bed ourselves. We took all of Sunday to recoup. We did not leave the house once sunday. Next door had missed us a church and then did not see us all day, and finally called at night(which we did not get to) And finally he caught Brad monday morning at 7'oclock on his way to work, He wanted to make sure we were still alive. Which we were but not by much.

Anyway I can pretty much guarantee that will not happen again. Next time we'll spend the extra to hire it out.
