Who would have thought?

It finally arrived!! This is one of my favorite times of the year well for the last 2 years! It's our Annual Quilt Retreat! When we moved back from Texas we were in Mom and Dad's ward. Mom RS did a quilt club and i really wanted to learn to quilt so i started going. And have been going ever since, Even though I've moved wards.

Brad likes to make fun of me since i am the youngest one there and for a lot of the time my mom is the next youngest! The age range if from 28 (that's me) All the way up to early 70's. I've decided the older people get the funner they get! Brad likes to call it my sleepover party, which honestly it really is, But how often as adult do we get to have a sleepover party?

Anyway so this was our second annual retreat, Mom and I were in charge this year so we (as in mostly mom) Picked the pattern, Movie, Food and were in charge of invites. Mom did most of is cause I'm lacking in the motivation department these days. Anyway, Everything was so fun. We started out with supper then went down and started on our quilts. The pattern was really fun and is turning out so cute.

Finally about 10pm I was so tired i thought it was time to quit so we could watch our movie, I think i was tired out before most of the ladies there. Anyway up stairs we went and got our popcorn popped and our Italian soda's made and started the movie! So So fun.

We finally made it to bed about 12:30 and then Mom and I were up again at 6:30 to finish as much as we could of our quilt. By 9:30 we had to pack up and head out to take Paris to Calgary. (She is going to spend the week at my dear sweet Sisters!! What a great Auntie to invite her).

But Mom and i were so tired we could barley move or stay awake all the way there and all the way back!

So again i ask..... who would have thought a night out with the (older) quilting Friends would have left Mom and I so exhausted?
This is the house we sleep over at and do all our weekly meetings at. It's the best house cause we can leave everything set up in the quilting room! Louise is so great to have us!
Supper time!

The Ladies were so nice and got together a few months ago and did quilts for Kim and I for our new babies! Kim is the next youngest but has a harder time coming only because she has 7 kids at home and the 8th on the way!

It was so nice that they all thought of us and put that much work into it for us!

This is my quilt layed out but not sewn together. I love it!

Mom and Donna. Donna is the quilt boss she does all the teaching and does a amazing job!

Getting ready to start the movie in the theater room!

And of course a true Chick Flick classic!!
Kim working on her quilt
Louis Working on her baby quilt

I just realized I did not get one picture of mom's but it's really cute she did the brown's and green's to match there bedroom turned out beautiful

A True Girl!

Paris is all done Kindergarten 2 weeks before B is done so she was lucky enough to sleep over at Grandma Sharon's Sunday night to Monday! Mom and Dad are so good to have the kids over all the time. They love it as do I! Anyway Paris was cleaning up dishes and doing all sorts of things so Grandma would find her of use so she would let her stay.
The next morning she go up and and got to go into lethbridge. Grandma Sharon was taking great Grandma and Grandpa into find a suit. So Paris gathered up all her money that she's been earning and tooth fairy money ect. She had a grand total of $6.50. She was so excited to find something for her money.
Anyway Great Grandma Hough and her got dropped at walmart while Mom ventured over to Moores with grandpa to find his suit. Well Paris found the most perfect thing in her mind! She just could not live without them i guess. I guess that's the fun of going shopping with Great Grandma no matter how much money you have it's enough for pretty much anything in the store.
Paris truly believed that these shoes were 5.50 and Great Grandma did not have to pitch in $12 to make up the difference. Well I've got to say they(her new shoes) are driving me crazy she wants to wear them everywhere, and that is seriously all she can talk about......No kidding i sent the kids walking up to Soccer and i told her they would hurt but she insisted and took her book bag with her flip flops in case she wanted to play were her new shoes would get dirty. This morning she wanted to walk B to school and insisted on wearing her shoes even though i said they would hurt to walk all that way. All she said was that's fine mom. I guess fashion over function.
Well it's times like these I'm so glad we live close to the grandparents they spoil the kids and the kids love love love them so much. Mom said Grandpa came prepared with a pocket full of mints for her and treated her to Arby's. Brings back such fun memories for me cause they did the exact same things with me!

Her new Pride and Joy!

Her she is washing them up getting them ready for the new day!
She is taking really good care of them!

Busy Busy Weekend!

This weekend ended up being a busy time! Well Busy in my world. If i have more then one thing in a day i get overwhelmed. I know but i just like the life of leisure not having to worry or stress. But this weekend was busy busy.

Thursday Mom and Paris and Blaze and I went into lethbridge to get fabric for our quilt retreat next weekend. All morning i was not feeling this baby move which is so so rare. I'm really not a paranoid mom but it made me a bit nervous so that night i sat down for 2 hours and counted the amount of movement. He was moving but hardly at all. So Friday i got up and did my Big cook meals which i had to have done by 10 made and still was not feeling this baby move so i ran over to Raymond to the Dr. and he checked things out and sent me over for a stress test. Everything turned out good and baby is just fine. So that night Brad took the kiddies to the horse race in lethbridge and i stayed home and cut out my quilt

Saturday was so so busy. It was our Ward temple day. The Youth went at 7:30am to do Baptisms Then the Primary kids' all came at 10:45 and the parents went in to do sealing or a session, and the youth and youth leaders did centers all around the temple with the kids. My job was pictures. After we went down to the Seniors center and ate lunch till about 2 then met back down at the campground in magrath for supper and a fireside. Paris also had riding lessons sat. so only Brody and i went down to cardston. We were so tired and all sunned out by the time we got home so i took a nap cause Brad and I had been invited to Rook Club at mom's since a couple couldn't come. Anyway it was good food good company and i had a million KILLER hands at rook.

Anyway so today I'm totally tired and ready for bed at 8 o'clock but it was a fun weekend just busy busy.

I hope Megan and Becky don't mind me posting these pictures but B's was not done yet.
Kaden wouldn't have his picture taken alone so him and Tyson got there's together

And here is Austin He totally kills me. This was the best one of him i got. I had to bribe all the boys, If they did one nice picture they could do one silly. Well I worked for most but i think Austin just has to much personality in him to ever just stand still for a picture!

This is what Brad learned this weekend..............
IF YOU CAN"T BEAT THEM JOIN THEM!
Blaze was his puppy and Paris was Brody's

And Poor Poor Blaze. Not sure how it happened but Blaze got bit or stung. He all of the sudden fell in the hall and started whining and i told him to suck it up and get up then he started limping and upon further investigation i found his leg to be huge! Poor thing but he never cried or screamed so how was i to know. (another "I'm a super good mom" Moment)
