What a Whirl Wind....

This past week has been a total whirl wind...  The kids have had the week of for reading week... Not sure why it's called that... They did not crack on book at all.  We started off with a weekend in greatfalls.  It was me and Brads 11th Anniversary. WHAT!  Yep that's right,  He's lasted 11 years,  I'm pretty sure we'll last the long haul,  Probley cause we both have said whoever leaves has to take the kids.... And we both don't want that... so we are stuck together!  Haha I'm kinda kidding (Kinda not).  Hehe.   So we headed off Friday afternoon and Met Mom and Dad down there.  Mom doesn't like to travel much with Dad by herself in case something happens,  So this was a perfect opportunity to meet up with us. 

So Friday we bummed around for a bit,  Swam with the kids then Mom and Dad watched them while Brad and I went out for our anniversary to Cafe' Rio!!  Yea that's right  Nothing but the best for my Baby!  hehe we love cafe' rio and it was a treat not to have to make it myself!  It was Delicious.  Then we shopped around a bit... got Brad some much needed new shorts for the upcoming summer season.  And i got Coconut M & M's and we called it a night.  Saturday we got up and shopped all around and found some good deals and then went back and swam with the kiddies and watched a movie.  Sunday we spent the morning lounging around,  we got late check out so we didn't have to be in a hurry to leave.  We finally got going but couldn't leave till 2ish so we drove around greatfall's and explored.  Kinda exciting and who knew people still have the ginormous Satellite dishes still.... Yes we saw quite a few of them on peoples front lawns... hmmmmm

Monday I decided that i either was going to stay home with the kids for the week and go crazy or go up to Red deer with the kids and No Brad and go crazy... we opted for the road trip.  I'm not sure what possessed me to do it but i did it and we all survived to tell about. 

We had a great time  I got to go to see the Vow, and go to Missy's Zumba Class that she teaches down at only women's fitness,  I got tonnes of Pictures done from the last photo shoot i had, And the kids all had a great time.  When Keegan and Brody are together we never see them!  The girls are a bit more high maintenance but they still did great!  The little boy's loved playing with Scouttie,  Not sure she can say the same but they sure love her.

Thursday we took off first thing in the morning to Beaumont to visit with Lara and the kiddies..  Poor Ella had jumped off the swings the day before and broke her arm at school.  I've got to say I've never seen Ella so Mellow.  Poor little girl!  Paris had fun waiting on her and tiding up.  The boy's loved playing the Jett and his toys and Brody just hung out,  (by then he was so overtired I think all he could do was sit.)  I got to have a good visit with Lara,  and she made us Cookies which lasted all the way to well the turn onto the highway ( 10min max).   We had a quick visit but fun and it was fun to see the kiddies! 

We headed back home Friday (Brody had a hockey game Friday night and Sat.)  So i learned on this trip.....  I can do it by myself,  But i never want to again.  And the boy's where not horrible going to bed and they were not acting up near as much as i thought they would.  So long story short it's totally doable again.  So I'm excited to plan a trip up to Edmonton in the summer and hit WestEd!

On a totally unrelated, but exciting note... Today was B's last Session Hockey game and guess what......

HE GOT A SHUT OUT!  He's pretty excited about it!!  So we've just got playoffs then we are done for another season and our life can resume!

OK so the whole trip I had the camera but i never pulled it out except at Lara's... Oops.

Valentines day!

Well we've never been much for Valentines day because our anniversary is on the 17th and heaven forbid we do 2 big things in one week!    So we alway's keep V-Day simple.   This year the kids were excited to pass out there valentines mostly Blazer.... This was his first year in Preschool to do valentines..  he loved it and within about 15min of being home he had all the candy devoured and was re-reading his notes for the 5th time.

Paris and Brody equally like it.  There is so much fun stuff they get...  I was thinking whatever happened to the day when you punched out the cards from a oversized book of valentines and worked hard at printing names on them... Now , Thanks to Pintrest,  They all go above and beyond!  Brody got a little slip of paper put in his box that said... " I love you,  Love ?"  Bahahaha  Has him totally perplexed,  But funny non the less.

Brad Gave me Zumba for the Wii... I'm super excited to try it out... but last night Paris and I went to the real zumba... Fun fun!

I'm so lucky to have Brad for a permanent Valentine!!  I adore him!!

What the heck....

Again ,  i make a effort to keep up the blog and look at me!!  I suck.  Well here i am.  We've had a wurl wind this past month.  Not sure what we are busy doing but it seem constant.  Tatum and Keegan got to come down for week and stay!  The kids had a great time together...  Keegan got to have his Birthday at with us as well.  Mom took everyone Bowling and had a great time!  Keegan is a pretty easy to please kid!

Mom got to go on a bit of a road trip  in January as well.  So we got to have Dad come stay with us!  The kids love it!  They have a great time!  Maybe not Dad.  The boys take it upon themselves to go check on Grandpa in the morning.  Poor Grandpa get crawled all over and poked and little voices saying "Grandpa... You ok?"  All was going so well until the last day.....  Oop's I took Dad home Broken... And I'm pretty sure Mom won't let us be in charge again for another while!

Hmmmm  pretty much that`s what`s happened in our life this month......  It seemed so much busier... Maybe i`t just in my mind!

The Rink is Back!!!

  Brad's be waiting all year well since we moved into this house to build the rink.  He had great visions on how it was going to work.  It didn't work out quite like he wanted.  He started on the cement pad and took it onto the grass.  But i don't think the lawn was frozen enough,  so he had to shorten it up.  But so far the kid's have had such a great time on it.

The little Boy's have really taken to it.  Blaze is already skating with out a chair.  Knox can't hardly wait till Brad gets home from work to go!  So tonight they went out for FHE.

Brody's Big Birthday

I feel like this is a overwhelming task to keep up with the Blog.  Not sure why writing it use to come so easy to me.  Not sure if I'm just running low on time, energy or have totally lost my sense of humor,  It's sometimes hard to laugh at the boy's destructive way.  Like the other day,  It was a busy day and Blaze found a bottle of white glue and a paint brush and painted a wall downstairs.....  Back in my good humor day's i would have taken a picture and laughed and put it on the blog,   But in stead all i could say is  "are you kidding me" and cleaned it up.  I think maybe it's coming with age,  I'm old and set in my way's.  Anyway long story short New Years is coming and this is a perfect Goal to set for myself.

Anyway onto the meat and potato's of the month.  November, December is always busy.  I had 3 craft shows to get ready for and do.  I was scheduled for a surgery in April but The begging of Nov.  I got a phone call saying it had been bumped up to Dec. 7th.  Yikes.  So i got my butt in gear and got all the pictures edited and Back, All of Christmas Purchased and arranged, and all my craft stuff put away.  It was kinda a blessing in disguise.  It's made December so much nicer cause i really have to take it easy and so it's been way easier to say no to things i don't have to do. 

So it's been a really fun December (minus the whole cutting into me and not being able to sleep on my tummy).  Before i went in, On the 6th it was B's Big 10th Birthday.  So we asked him awhile ago if he wanted a party or just wanted to go out to dinner with Brad and I.  He really wanted to go out to the water tower.  Our Brody is really into good food,  He wanted to go there and eat a good Piece of Salmon.  Yep that's right he'll do anything for a piece of fish.  Blahhh.  Anyway   It was fun to take Brody out.  He got money from everyone this year so we took him shopping after to buy his Birthday presents.  he was so excited he had enough for Hex bugs with the track (something he's asked for but I'm the Mom who thinks if it looks dumb I'm not buying it)  Well i was wrong it is really fun.   Anyway  He had a great time!

Our Brody had Grown up so much.  Just in the past month or so he's started looking so old.  he's  lost all his Baby Fat (OK he never had Baby fat).  But he's just grown up.  He loves hockey  I'm pretty sure that's his number one love of course during the winter.  He also loves loves Sledding.  He is good in school and loves his teacher.  His favorite subjects are Math and Gym.  He likes to play with his friends and he's so good at Babysitting.  We are so glad he's part of our family!
